Part-3

Next day morning Ishita got ready and after having breakfast, left for hospital. She was parking her scooty when she saw Dr Ram coming out of a car and the car left. She was going inside when she noticed the car number that is of Mr Iyer. She was shocked and confused too as if her Appa know Dr Ram but how? She was standing thinking when Ritika and Nitika also reached there and saw her lost. They parked their car and called her breaking her trance. Both asked why she standing here to which she just nodded nothing. Trio went inside to reception where Dr Ram was signing on register. Ishita was staring him suspiciously and thinking if asking him or not. After Raman, Ritika and Nitika also signed while Ishita was still busy in thoughts. They shook her and she also signed and trio left to their cabin. After just five minutes a ward boy called all six (Ishika group and Ashsuni group) to Dr Ram's cabin.

Ishita was the last to reach his cabin and the moment she reached his cabin, he thrown the file on the floor in her feet which she gave him last day saying that it's a new case and he can read it. All were shocked, especially Ishita. She looked at him who was already looking at her angrily.

Dr Ram (roared)-Pick up this file and tell me what's written on the file's cover and what's inside the file.

Ishita was not liking the way he is behaving but controlled herself and picked the file. She read it and found the patient's name was written on its cover which was right but inside only first two page was about the patient and rest was of some another patient's report. She looked at him and try to say something but he didn't give her chance.

Dr Ram-Dr Ashok take this file and read it and passed it to the next. I want u all check it.

Ashok took it, check it and passed it. They were checking and passing while Ishita said,

I-What r u doing Dr Ram? It's not a joke.

Dr Ram (angrily)-Exactly what I want to tell u all. It's not a joke that u all do ur work carelessly like this. Are u even getting it? U wasted my time.

I-Excuse me.

Dr Ram-Yes. If u gave me right file with right reports then till now I had already read it but now I have to read it and then other works. In fact uske liye bhi sahi file honi chahiye. So it's definitely time wasting act of urs.

Ishita was just looking at him blankly.

Dr Ram-Do u even have any sense of responsibility? Is this the way u worked? For god sake Dr Ishita Iyer, u r a doctor. You should be more responsible towards the reports of ur patients. And u all I'm warning u all first and last time, this type of irresponsibility is not acceptable. Am I clear to u all?

All said yes and he told them to leave. Ashsuni group left while Ishita was standing there while her friends were trying to take her when Dr Ram saw her looking at him like he is at fault not her.

R-And by the way this is unintentional or intentional? May be u r not able to digest the fact that another gynaecologist came to compete with u now and u r trying to have control on me. But u know what don't forget I'm your senior and I will control u not u. So now just leave and send me this file with exact reports only.

He was about to turn but Ishita hold him by him arm and set him back in front of her. Before he could react, she said angrily.

I-What do u think of urself, ha? You are very intelligent and smart. For ur kind information Dr Ram, yes it's not a joke. It's not my careless act but careful act. I didn't waste ur time but u urself wasted ur time by ur over smartness. I have complete sense of responsibility. My way of working is also very good as per the most senior doctors of this hospital. I very well know I'm a doctor and I'm very careful for reports of my patients. It's not intentional. I'm not insecure for my position. I don't want to control u and I totally respect u as my senior. And last but not the least, u want exact reports only, right? So here is ur exact reports.

She said calmly stressing his each and every accusations and take out the last four five pages. She kept pages with herself and gave file to him and left while he was looking at her without blinking his eyes trying to absorb her words. Nitika and Ritika were really want to say something to him supporting Ishita as she is very dedicating towards her work and this is the first time when someone accused her like that in front of all but they also left as Ishita already gave him answer.

This all was heard by a nurse who came to inform Dr Ram that Dr O.P. called him. She went inside and informed him. Before leaving, she said Dr Ram, kabhi kabhi jo dikhta hai vo hota nhi or ko hota hai vo dikhta nhi. Saying so she left leaving him confused.

Ashsuni were going when Suraj asked Ashok what he is thinking.

A-Actually hamare pas bhot bada chance hai Ishita se aage badhne ka. At least in front of Dr Ram.

N-But hamara first impression to already bhot bura wala gaya Na kal.

A-Ishita ka to acha gaya tha but see aaj Kya class li hai usne Ishita ki.

S-According to that humse kabhi koi choti si bhi galti nhi honi chahiye.

N-He is right Ashok. We very well know Ishita ki koi galti nhi thi. Dr Ram is very hard nut to crack.

A-We can try.

N&S-Ok.

At the other side, nurse who heard everything, called someone and told all about yesterday and today from Dr Ram's entry till now. The person told that she is coming there right now in just 10 min. Soon this news spread in whole hospital that Dr Ram scold Dr Ishita unnecessary.

Dr Ram went to meet Dr O.P. but got to know that he is out for an emergency case. He was going to his cabin when he remembered that he didn't get today's schedule. He was going towards Ishita's cabin but a nurse informed him about his schedule in the way only. Before going she also told the same line which previous nurse told him.

After coming from Dr Ram's cabin Ishita was so frustrated and send his schedule through a nurse. She send a nurse to her patients for some time and settled down in her cabin to calm herself. She was still sitting in her chair leaning backward with closed eyes when she felt a hand on her shoulder and opened her eyes. There was the same person to whom that nurse called. She saiod getting up from her seat

I-Sunita tai aap. Aap yahan kya kar rhe? Aapko aaram karne ko kahatha na to aap yahan kya kar rhi ho.

S-Main ab bilkul thik hu. Isliye apne kam par vaapis aa gayi.

I-Aise kaise aap thik ho. Aapko kitna tez fever tha. Aap abhi jao or aaram karo.

S-Ishita mai thik hu. Main bore ho rhi thi ghar par isl;iye vapas aa gayi. Or vaise bhi main tired feel karungi to chali jaaungi, pass mein hi to hai ghar. Tum yeh sab chodo tum yaha kya kar rhi ho? Tum to aate hiu patients k pass chali jati ho.

I-Bas jaa hi rhi thi, acha main chalti hu. Aap bhi jyada kam mat karna. Ok.

Saying this she was going wearing her coat when stopped hearing,

S-Dr Ram ki vajah se pareshan ho.

She went to Ishita and said,

S-Mujhe sab pta hai. Jab se Ram aaya hai tab se kya kya hua hai. Ishita main Ram ko bhi jaanti hu or tumhe bhi. Tum dono hi hard working ho or dil se bhi nek or saaf. Apne kam ko lekar ek dum strict. Bas ek difference hai.

Ishita looked at her.

S-Ram thoda sa short tempered hai. Usse jaise hi koi cheez galat dikhti hai to vo bas gussa ho jata hai. Uski baate dil par mat lena.

I-Tai, this is not fair na. Koi aise kaise chilla sakta hai. Meri to koi galti bhi nhi thi.

S-Main janti hu par vo aisa hi hai. Kuch dino mein tumhe bhi samaj jaayega or tumhare kam ko bhi.

I-Lagta to nhi. Ek dum akdu hai.

Sunita Tai smiled and both left to their work after a little chit chat. Sunita Tai is the most senior in charge of nurses and this hospital is her only family. She lives in apartment of hospital where some nurses, trainees and doctors live just in back of the hospital. She is from Maharashtra and thus all called her Sunita Tai and considered her as a big sister. There was only one gynaecologist that is Ishita from half a year as their senior gynaec left the hospital for some personal reasons and now Dr Ram also a gynaec.

Till lunch time all got busy with their patients and appointments. Dr Ram was hell fed up of the single line as he was listening this line from each and every person of hospital who loves Dr Ishita. But poor Dr Ram, he was not getting the reason. He was getting its related to Ishita but why all r angry on him as according to him he was right. He went to his cabin fullty frustrated but smiled seeing Sunita Tai there.

Dr Ram-Aap?

He got super happy eeting her after so long and hugged her.

Dr Ram-Aap kab aayi? Sab ne bataya aapko fever tha. Aap kaise ho ab or yahan kya kar rhe ho? Aapko pta hai aine aapko bhot miass kiya.

S-Jhooth.

Dr Ram looked at her breaking the hug.

S-Ek dum jhooth. Tumne mujhe mss kiya hi nhi . Iasiliye kal aaye or mile bh nhi.

Dr Ram-Sorry Tai but main jaise hi aaya sabse pahle hospital mein phirse settle hone k liye busy ho gaya. Maine socha bhi tha ki aapse lunch mein ilne jaaunga but aaj subah subah faltu mein mood off or main bhool gaya.

S-Tum baitho , mujhe tumse bat karni hai.

Both settled in chairs side by side and she continued,

S-Is mood off ka karan Dr Ishita hai?

Dr Ram-Tai, aapko nhi pta...

S-Mujhe sab pta hai. Bas ab tak tumhara gussa kam nhi hua. Ishita ki galti nhi hai. Galti tumhari hai.

Dr Ram-Tai aap bhi yahi bol rhe ho. Ek to subah se sab mujhe vo line sunaye jaa rhe hai.

S(smiling)-Pta hai mujhe. Kyonki sdach mein tumhari galti thi. Agar tumhe laga tha ki vo wrong reports hai to tumhe usse call karna chahiye tha or confirttm karte.

Dr Ram-Tai hum kal hi mile hai or mai uska number maangu.

S-Number to reports mein bhi hoga na. uske sign k sath but tumne dhyan hi nhi diya, sirf gussa. Or subah ek bar confirm kar lete.

Dr Ram-Lekin Tai, vo rports galat thi.

S-Galat nhi thi bas Ishita ne usme kisi or patients ki bhi reports add ki hui thi. Sirf problem se bachne k liye.

Dr Ram-Main kuch samjha nhi.

S-Usne tumhe jo file di thi vo ek new case tha. Us new case ki reports k pages starting mein thi or last mein jo pages the vo ek special case hai jiski reports thi.

Dr Ram-Kaisa special case?

S-Actually ek lady hai. She is pregnant with a boy with last few weeks and her husband wants a boy. Her divorce case is pending and she don't want to give baby's custody to her husband that's why we lied to her husband that it's a girl and he is ready to give custody to her. So Ishita is just trying to hide true reports from her husband as her husband is doubting her. Isliye Ishitya ne vo new case tumhe diya or vo reports bhi kyonki usse laga ki tum par kisi ko shak nhi hoga Or reports safe rahegi. Sirf do din or hai. Kal final hearing hai.

Dr Ram-Dr Ishita ko lagta hai ki mere pass voh reports safe rahegi?

S-Hm. Usne mujhse confirm kia tha ki main tumhe jaanti hu ya nhi or tum kaise. Maine usse assure kia tab usne tumhe yeh reports di or btaya isliye nhi kyonki usse laga ki tum usse pooch loge but tumne us par gussa kia direct.

Dr Ram-It means I was at fault.

S-Yes. And tujhe pta hai tujhe kya karna hai.

Dr Ram Ok fine main abhi jata hu.

Saying he got up and opened the door only to receive a knock but not on door but on his forehead. He closed his eyes and next moment he heard a sorry from Ishita. Ishita was coming to his cabin for Tai and was about to knock when he opened the door and she knocked on his head. He opened his eyes when she again apologize and asked for Tai. He got aside and she asked Tai if she had her medicines. Tai assured her that she had and Ishita was going when Dr Ram said sorry and she just left saying its ok. After lunch, Dr Ram didn't hear that line again, much to her relief. Rest of the passed with some discussion on some cases between Dr Ram and Dr Ishita. All left to their home. Ishita couldn't ask anything to Dr Ram or her Appa.

Next day when Dr Ram came to hospital and asked about Dr Ishita Receptionist told him that she is in her cabin. He went to her cabin. He knocked at the door three times but he didn't receive any response and entered her cabin only to see her sleeping keeping her head on the table. He was first lost in her beautiful face who was sleeping peacefully. Some hair strands were falling on her face every now and then due to open window irritating her. He slowly went to window and close it only to hear "Thank you Tai from her in her sleepy voice. Then he went to her, a hair strand was on her face and in a lost state he was about to remove that but she herself remove it and slept again which breaks his trance. Then he composed himself and got angry to see her sleeping in hospital in working hours. He was about to shout when Sunita came in and he looked at her who told him to be silent. She took him outside and told him that last day she didn't even reach her hoe when there came an emergency and she was working whole night. She just went to home to get ready for the day and came back to hospital. So don't disturb her. He nodded and left to have a round of patients. He was going but then went to her cabin to take reports of the patients.
