What is the correct TRP

I thought barc gives the correct TRP but every other day gul present us the different trp , iam confused which one is the correct😆

well Barc Trp is correct and genuine, while Gul gives SP trp( which is a summation of Barc + SP's own calculation) so not exactly 100% reliable

we should take Barc as our benchmark😆

besides Gul has lost it because her numbers dont match at all with real Barc ratings itself😆

but besides sp all. Other channels follow barc , y sp have their own way of calculating TRP

Actually for sp their own ratings matter. They calculate ratings by taking 50% of barc ratings and 50% is of hotstar and online ratings. That's why acc. To them we are having good trps. As ishqbaaaz is really popular on digital platform.

Wow that's a surprise, becz gul have said online audience don't give TRP, but colours n zee have their own version of hotstar like ozee n vidmate or something, they won't calculate online audience then y sp 😆

well I don't have that much info but generally all will consider barc ratings only na...but I have heard from somewhere that maybe whole rating system is going to change by the end of this year. Ratings are going to calculated by considering online viewers also along with TV audience. As digital platform is really going strong nowadays that's why.

Somewhere in twitter I saw a TRP chart according to SP and it's something like a 15+ F (female above 15 yrs I think) sample audience data which star is following where as BARC follows a different sample audience. So according to BARC it's 1.98, the SP breaks it down to different components, like TSV , % reach and TVR something like that. According to this chart yrkkh , dance plus and IB are best performing shows in all three categories. How much credibility this has on advertisers and with other channels, don't know!!

I think for us the sp ratings should matter as they are the channel.. if they are happy with the trp that's all that matters

Sp is the expensive channel, so they might have different criteria for trp , but it's kind of weird that the TV business is dependent on trp n they don't have reliable procedure for it , I don't know how pH calculate the profit n all😆
