When did Neil fall in love with Avni?

I think he got emotionally involved with her during Neela's kidnapping sequence. The first time it was apparent that he loves Avni was when he called her Juhi.

I think in that gas explosion scene. He was so worried for her and scared of loosing her, His love and care for her in that episode can be seen easily.That's one of my favourite scenes ⭐️ 😳

During Neela's kidnapping track, after consoling Avni that they will find her mother, Neil was sitting alone and reflecting about her past encounters with. I think it was first time when he realized that he was falling for her but was hesitant about it.

I think he was fascinated by her from the start. He had never met a girl like her before. Even Ali noticed he couldn't stop talking about her and teased him that Neil Sahab Ko mohobaat toh nahi huwa and all!

I agree with other comments here. His emotional involvement was clear after the kidnapping track and right after that the Bolna sequence where he was thinking of her and trying to text her. But the gas attack happened before that. He was so worried for her and even crying. He called her Juhi by mistake. I think right after the kidnaping track he realised he was in too deep but he denied it to himself. I think by the gas attack he was in love. It was clear he could never stay away from her. He continued to make the so called "Case"'and his suspicions as the basis of his obsession with her, when it was clear his interest was personal.

Then came the Haldi when he saw Juhi and she puts Avni's hand in his and walks away, and Avni is smiling with Neil. By the time of the marriage I think he knew marrying Rhea was a mistake and all he was thinking of day and night was Avni. When he told Avni as a joke that from the day he met her he hasn't spent a day not thinking about her, he was telling the truth! :)

The mahabaleshwar kidnapping track was when neil's inner turmoil and hidden feelings regarding avni started. He questioned himself at that time that despite knowing she was a criminal, why was he unable to arrest her. And then he thought about something and shook it off by saying there's nothing like that. Well, Neil seemed to be fascinated by Avni since their very first encounter! But when do you think, he started getting emotionally involved ? I mean, which was the 1st scene according to you which makes it clear that Neil has fallen for Avni?!
