I disagree.. I just think its so much harder, for women in conservative societies, to make a stand for anything. Its much easier to just abide by the status quo and avoid conflict in order to make your lives easier which is what I feel Naina does.
You may know people in real life.. but I don't know the context of those people's lives to comment. But I can comment on Meghna's saying that her life would be much easier if she didn't react. But would that mean she is standing up for principle? For me its not. I like the fact that Meghna is willing to take risk to stand up for her principles.
I feel like lately its been Naina tossing around the word Swabhiman but without actually standing up for it means. Swabhiman doesn't mean that you can't stay in your sister's office guest house while you are looking for a job. It doesn't mean you can't go back to your maayka if you were ill-treated in your husband's home. But it does mean that when your father in law is saying he's gonna bring another wife for your husband, you stand up and say marriage isn't a game.
lso meghna fans will shout she stands up
What you are saying about Naina is sort of what I feel about Meghna. I feel like they haven't written Naina with any depth and nor do I see the writers planning on giving her depth. She the prototypical tv serial bahu happily doing agnipariksha for her Shiv. But they've given Meghna layers... so there is a lot more scope for her to grow.
