Prologue

She stared at the photos that decked the wall. She couldn't recognize her own emotions and the joy that were photographed in those photos. Only if she could capture and keep those moments like these picture for eternity. One incident and they all fell apart like shattered beads of a necklace. In different places, living the life they never imagined they would.

The sound of slow footsteps from the stairs took her out of her memories. She plastered a smile on her face and was ready to greet the mother of her best friend, but the moment she turned around she froze. The sound of her heartbeat taking over her surrounding she stared at the man who was just much damaged as her.

He seemed to have the same response. He stopped dead in his way. Eyes bloodshot. Hair messed up. Face adorned with facial hair. The echo of agony and guilt pierced her. He was not her Advay Singh Raizada. He was just a destroyed shell of the man he was.

"Chandni

She gasped for air as she heard his whisper, chock-full with torment.

"Advay

So much was needed to be said. So much was needed to be heard. But there was nothing but wrecked pieces of silence between them.
