SRK didn't have that spark with Madhuri.

Overall, I'd say it's Juhi, Manisha (Dil Se ❤️), and Kajol.

Absolutely true. Idk how I forgot Gayatri-SRK. She made such a good foil too to SRK! She has this old-world subtle beauty, beautiful face. "Pure" is the correct word. Their chemistry sneaks up on you. It isn't bombastic & electric like SRK's or persistently intensely sexual like Manisha & him, but something that sneaks up on you yet obvious albeit *very* understated. I loved it. Wish Gayatri didn't get married to the Oberoi scion & did more films. She would've been a good actor.

I agree. What they had was something special and the best part it was shown in a way where it wasnt just their hormones talking. She also stood toe to toe to him and wanted to be his equal and this is long before all the female empowement even begun. This is why Swades is one of those movies I have not only watched more then once but still consider it to be way ahead of its time.
