Chapter 23 - Close to Inner Feelings!

"What do you think you were doing there?" Arnav nailed Khushi to their bedroom wall, caged her and asked her angrily...

"Nothing, just enjoying myself... Is there a problem Mr. Raizada?" Khushi asked him back...

"Yes, there is... Khushi, I really hated it when guys at the club were ogling at you... And why that idiot Ankit was with you and how does he know you personally?" Arnav came straight to the point... He is jealous as hell...

"Wrong question Mr. Raizada, you don't like your so called middle class wife and find it difficult to adjust your life with her... While you enjoy your parties every now and then flaunting your so called bachelor status, you have problem with me going out just once? Bad job, Mr. Raizada... Always double standards..." Khushi pointed fingers back at him...

"And Ankit Khanna, he is my close friend... Even though he is rich, he is very nice, respects my talent and used his veto to get me selected in Master Chef Show... We are buddies... Unlike you, he stood up for me..." Khushi barely knew Ankit as part of her TV show but how can she miss a chance to make Arnav angry and jealous...

"Oh, so that's why you decided to serve lunch to your buddy ignoring your husband? Did you go to party with him? And were you drinking with him too? Answer me damn it..." Arnav was trying hard to control his anger and not blast her... How dare she do it when he is genuinely trying to work on their relationship, he was mad...

"Hell no Mr. Raizada, I am not like you... I was just super mad at you and so ignored you... And I don't go partying or drinking with anyone else... I don't even drink... I went out with Ria, for your kindest information... Don't you dare judge me" Khushi gave him back...

Her angry confession calmed him down suddenly... She did things because she was mad at him and wanted his attention... Yet, she needs to be careful not to entertain someone else or it can be misleading and risky too... But he has to explain her other things only when she is calm... So he decided to skip it for later...

He noted whenever she is angry, she always calls him Mr. Raizada and it annoys him like crazy... She is still stuck with him calling her middles class and his taunts...

"Khushi, look at me... I am sorry for what I said before. But I will never do it again... And yesterday was a complete mishap... My drink was spiked. Ask NK if you don't believe me... NK, La and Aman were always around me but media always tries to exploit situations like these... They simply click and come up with juicy stories..." Arnav tried to be calm to handle her...

"Oh really, now you want to blame it on media... Excellent Mr. Raizada, then I have nothing else to say to you... Anyways, I don't know you so get off me..." She hated him not accepting his mistakes and blaming it on media...

"How dare you Khushi? You don't know me? What's this new thing? I am always surrounded by makeup kits and my choice of women is poor and all that? How dare you say that you don't know me?" Arnav asked her angrily... She just called the models makeup kits, it was hilarious otherwise...

"Oh yes Mr. Raizada, I don't know you because I hate all those people from Page 3... Attention mongers... And look at women around you... Check today's newspaper and you will know my comments are right... Those girls are walking makeup kits... But who cares, you like them and that's your choice... And if you are the most eligible bachelor, obviously I don't know you... Especially because I am a married girl and I don't try to know any bachelors how hot or handsome they might be..." She said carelessly and turned to go away from him...

"Oh so you think I am hot and handsome?" Arnav asked her smirking and trying to calm the situation...

"Very smart Mr. Raizada, with the popularity track record you have, I am sure you are more than just hot and handsome! Go and ask those make up kits, don't bother me..." Khushi was equally sarcastic...

"Khushi, look at me! It's all media gossip... Please learn to ignore it, it's not worth the attention. I know I made mistakes before, but I am trying to change after our talk that night... And I hope you are observing it enough... And I am not going to justify yesterday's event again and again for my drink being spiked... But is that the only thing bothering you?" Arnav asked her curiously...

"You make me feel so bad... You stay away from me... How dare I even not serve you lunch today? I never did this in my life... I can never even think of denying anyone food... My Babuji will kill me if he gets to know it but still I did it... Because I feel so obsessed for your attention, you are my husband for god's sake..." Tears rolled down her eyes... She was angry at herself...

"Maybe I shouldn't expect too much out of life and especially from you... But you said we will try... And when it comes to you, all my logic vanishes in thin air... I don't know why I feel like this?" She continued her ranting...

"Why do I have to feel so angry? Why do I go crazy and then I have no control over what I do?" Khushi was clueless...

"I just wanted to go out in fresh air tonight, calm down and think... But ended up going with Ria to club and dancing... I was so mad at myself and you, I ended up drinking the shots or whatever they called it... All because of you... How will I explain this to my Babuji now? I don't know what happens to me when I see you or be around you every time..." Her blabbering continued...

"Khushi, I am your husband for sure... And even I was wrong... I expected you to cook and pamper me when you were angry at me... I should have been the one doing that to you..." He genuinely accepted...

"Yes, you are wrong... Now you will explain to my Babuji and not me..." She blamed him like a child...

"We don't need to explain anything to anyone for now, not even to your Babuji... It's something between you and me, we will resolve it ourselves..." Arnav did not want things to go to family, she was way too much worried how her parents will feel about her misbehavior...

"Khushi, look at me... Please look at me... I understand we started on a wrong foot... Rather I started on a wrong foot... But have I done anything to make you feel bad recently after our talk? When I said let's start fresh, I really meant it... So forget about all that gossip... Do you really know whom I like?" Arnav hugged her tight patting her back, tried to calm her down and asked her curiously...

"As if I care..." She wasn't prepared emotionally to hear some other name from his mouth... She tried to escape from his hug...

"You should care... Because this is your husband telling it to you..." He stared into her eyes and held her face in his hands...

"You should... Because the one and only girl I really like is you, Khushi... I mean it... My heart beats like crazy when you are near me or whenever I am thinking about you at work in office... Which is what I am doing all the time these days at work... I am getting obsessed about everything that is connected to you too... I like to spend time with you and just want to listen to you forever whenever you are talking animatedly explaining your day..." Arnav told her honestly...

"You should care because it's about you and me... Just you and me... I don't care about anyone else, any models, or any other makeup kits as you mentioned" He came closer and closer and smiled smirking... She was shocked to hear him... Does he like her, like really? Her eyes went wide, heart beating like crazy and she pouted as usual...

And Arnav lost his control and smacked his lips onto her... Initially it was slow kiss when he realized this was new for her but then he was not ready to leave her and kissed her thoroughly, slowly inside out... It was a long passionate kiss! He left her only after realizing she was almost breathless...

"You are behaving as if you are falling in love with me, feeling jealous and all that! Imagine the mighty great Arnav Singh Raizada falling in love with his so called middle class wife, that world does not know even exists! What a cruel joke? And it has to happen to me Devi Mayya... Oh my god... What were you thinking Devi Mayya?" She found it still hard to believe and digest when he expressed himself... She was drunk, tired and dozed off in his arms...

He did break her heart by calling her names, making her realize her middle class status compared to his richness! She took all his nonsense without complaining ever, but then she developed low self-esteem and is so insecure... Anything related to him in news especially page 3 breaks her heart... A lone tear escaped from his eyes when he held her and hugged her tight in his arms... He picked her and took her to the bed... He made her sleep and wrapped her in the blanket as if she is something so fragile that would break, kissed her forehead and pecked her lips lightly...

"I need to mend her broken heart and that too fast..." He was talking to himself standing at the poolside...

"And what did she say... As if I am falling in love with her... She is so right... I have fallen in love with her..." His heart elated with the new revelation...

NK and La rushed in...

"Is she ok? Sorry ASR, I did not know any of this..." NK had to share with La some more information about Khushi after La saw ASR carrying Khushi in his arms when La alone had rushed outside to check on Khushi...

"It's ok, La... Can I trust you not to leak any of this for now... I will reveal things when time is right..." Arnav requested and she nodded.

"La, can you help change Khushi into something comfortable?" He walked to Khushi's closet and pulled out a soft cotton night dress... He walked out with NK and La had Khushi change her dress and go back to sleep...

La and NK were taken aback... Arnav's request clearly indicated he and Khushi did not have normal husband and wife relationship yet... NK felt pity for his stupid brother while sorry for Khushi!

Wonder how Arnav would handle her now.
