I'm getting so mad atm.
Karan says they are trying to show why Kashi was not preferred by him! Seriously?
The full thing is - Baji comes home, Kashi is elated, cannot control her emotions (chuck that pull part). And Baji is still thinking of fights...
She goes on to show him her 'grihasti' and the result is - he is not interested.

If even in a slight chance - the makers are trying to justify why Baji fell in love, he needed someone to give his love to or how Kashi falls as too naive and incompetent to be His better half, I'M SORRY BUT THIS IS ABSOLUTE CRAP!

BULLSHIT!

Liked the segment . But feeling really very bad for Kashibai already . Dunno how I'll be able to watch the epi .
Karan and Ishita look very very good together IMO and Ishita is doing just amazing as Kashibai, haven't seen much of her works but she totally impressed me here . Her expressions are top notch !!
Couldn't they take someone at least as good looking and capable as her ( if not better ) in the role of Mastani ?

This is utter crap! At least they could've shown a friendly relationship between these two. At least what they had in the movie? Why Mastani so soon?
The problem with these modern historical shows is, they try to justify the lead's every move. Now, how are they going to justify the birth of nanasaheb and kashi's sons if he did not love her? A drunken night, passionately spent imagining kashi to be mastani? Or are they going to show just shamsher?

Yeah exactly!
Or will his mood change by seeing the adolescent beauty of his 'wife', is it?🤢

Anyways, I don't care about Baji anymore. God give strength to Kashi to deal with her badluck and misfortune :/

Greetings all!

The creators of PB have stretched their creative license to distort history further.

When Bajirao returned from Delhi with Yesubai he was 19, Kashi was 16, Rakhma was 11 or 12 and Mastani was just 5-6 years old. He is unlikely to have been mesmerised by a 5 year old Mastani singing a Pranami bhajan in some random temple.

Bajirao falling for Mastani and neglecting Kashi is real history no matter how agitated it makes us. Powerful men have often been unfaithful to their wedded wives since the very start of civilisation.

I watched this yesterday, and felt so bad for Kashi...
So basically, Sony-Bajirao, who loves his mother immensely... dotes on his sister Bhiu... will later even fall in love with Mastani...is incapable of loving his wife bcoz of Swaraj crap!!
Lagta hain, bas biwi toh dekh ke hi Swaraj, Talwar aur Deshbhakti ki yaad aa jati hain...Baki samay, he is fine showering affection on other women.

The PB creator's script is self-serving, do not take things to heart.
Like him the women in Baijrao's family were rather influential. His mother was a dominant force, Bhiu was the bahu of Bajirao's biggest creditor, Anubai was everyone's favourite as she was the youngest. Incidentally Anu and Mastani were the same age. One of the reasons Anu was cannily sympathetic toward Mastani was that in doing so she endeared herself to her brother even more. Anu lived to a ripe old age and reaped rich benefits out of being close to each reigning Peshwa.

Bajirao also took loans for the state from Kashi's parents. Unfortunately Kashi had a relatively reticent personality and remained in the backdrop for most of her married life. Radhabai favoured her in the Mastani matter only because she herself was opposed to Mastani influence on Bajirao's changing lifestyle. Kashi held no sway over her mother-in-law or her husband. One of the reasons why she suffered in silence all her life.

We're pissed off by the whole idea of Mastani here. Bajirao doesn't believe in love but is instantly hooked to Mastani. He feels remembering your wife or giving her some appreciation is an obstacle for Swaraj whereas his heart craves to see Mastani when he's returning from a mission. This is true hypocrisy and double standards. Makers are just trying to anyhow squeeze this fact in that Mastani was better than Kashi.

Okay, I understand this. But the way Bajirao is being shown immuned and staying kilometres away from love, why does all of this disappear suddenly? Didn't he already have kids before he met Mastani. You're absolutely right, just like all shows the history here is bended and distorted to the maker's discretion. How SAD is this!
