While I agree, but this trend of movies breaking ATG every other year (what Aamir has been doing since Ghajini) wasn't a common occurrence before. Every once in a while a Hindi film would come and do historic business (like Bahubali, Gadar, HAHK, Sholay, etc.). Since Gadar though, it was as if no movie could cross the 4 crore footfall mark - let alone 5 crores. I'm glad Bahubali did it; more importantly, I'm glad that we won't have a new ATG every couple of years now.
So, hopefully, filmmakers can stop this obsession and focus on delivering hits instead.
