Box Office: Tubelight is just about crossing Jai Ho in the final run, EHTEDT is a Disaster

Tubelight had a massive fall in the second week as hardly any numbers came in. If the film didn't rise to the occasion over the weekend, the weekdays were further low as the shows were reduced as well. The film has seen an unprecedented crash for a big budget film and Salman Khan would perhaps not even remember when was the last time something like this happened to a film of his. Even his Veer had seen a better hold.

However, when it comes to Tubelight it is a different story altogether as the film stands at mere Rs. 118 crore* currently. This is on the same lines as Jai Ho which had the lifetime collections of Rs. 115 crore. However, the difference between Jai Ho and Tubelight is the fact that former was made at a lesser budget and then acquired at a lesser price as well. Moreover, the crash from the first to the second week wasn't as massive. In case of Tubelight though, there is just no redeeming factor when it comes to the Box Office response as other than the producers everyone else has lost money big time.

The film is now looking at a lifetime total of just over Rs. 120 crore which actually brings it in the Disaster category.

Meanwhile, there has also been another Disaster at the Box Office in the form of Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Thi. The film neither started well nor did it show any kind of positive trending. The film is folding up around the Rs. 1 crore mark and that is less than what was spent on the marketing. Very disappointing!

I take Taran's figures and verdicts over BOI's any day..

So Taran has called it a Disaster

I had said the same but nobody here agreed, well what do they have to say now?

Considering all factors, Eid, Sallu, solo release, huge selling price, etc...the way it crashed in 2nd week has to be a DISASTER

Tuteja is also a well known trade analyst and I agree with his verdict, its a disaster if all things are taken into consideration

BOI is such a sallu fansite, they desperately gave it Below Average but verdict shd be a Flop at least

For all other actors movies, BOI gives Flop verdict by beginning of 2nd week even if they dont crash as badly as TL did

Tuteja also termed both Fan and Dilwali as big flops
