Mukhi is the perfect example of how a man should be. He stood up for women's rights which anyone barely does anymore. He was even ready to break the rules he made when it came to a woman's safety. "Aurat maa hoti hai, beti hoti hai, behen hoti hai, mandir mei pooji jaane wali devi hoti hai Aurat."
When the entire world was hurling insults at Aru for using violence and disagreed with her actions, Mukhi was the only one who took her side and made the blind people see the truth and how vile Lalji's actions were. "Hum Mahishasur ka vadh karne wali Durga ke gungan gaate hai, aur Mukhiyani ke liye saza chah rahe hai"
Everyone person should be like Mukhi and all the rapists should get the same punishment Lalji got - death.
Seriously...hats off the Mukhi đđ
You are on point Aqua..100 %. Not only those villagers, but many people in India still think that if a girl gets molested/raped its her fault...ladki ne hi kuch kiya hoga, wrong clothes, wrong times to go out, going alone...sab ladki ki hi galati batate hain...And as we saw in Nirbhaya case...the attackers themselves justify their behavior by asking what was the girl doing alone at that location, at that time.
Mukhiji is a much needed example in these times ..both for the villagers and regular society. I am surprised the villagers didnt ask a simple question..if the Mukhiyani can be attacked, what about the regular ladies in the village. They should have infact supported Aru's actions.
Also, there if a trend of negative heroes on television nowadays, hot guys who are borderline villains and trouble the heroine endlessly before falling in love, or trick her etc. Such wrong models support the notion that ladka "hot" and "handsome" hain to its enough, that gives the guy permission to do any wrongs with the girl.
I am very happy that Mukhi's character is absolute opposite...he doesnt try to look hot and handsome...his natural charm comes through his attire and behavior. And his heart is gold. He is such a throwback,,,belong to a different era..!
Great post!
