; they would add this collection to the opening of Tubelight
"It is a very innovative move says Pankaj Thakur, Chairman of Movie Distributors' Association. "Strategies like these have never been implemented before. Let's see how well it works out he says. An autowala from Mumbai, named Salman Shaikh, was the one to come up with this unique strategy.
"I am a die-hard fan of bhai (Salman). I had even watched his God Tussi Great Ho' first day first show. When I came to know that Bahubali 2 has beaten all the box-office records, most of which were held by Bhai, I decided that I needed to do something he stated. When asked about how they are going to execute this plan, he said "We have a Salman Khan Fans union, most of which are autowaalas. We meet once every 15 days in Bandra and eat biryani while watching Tere Naam'. Last meeting I put forth my idea and it got approved faster than when Marigold was removed from theatres said an ecstatic Salman to Faking news.
He further added "On the day previous to the release of Tubelight, 100 tubelights will be delivered to each of our houses. Our goal is to sell as many of them as possible on the opening day. When asked about the reach and scope of this move, he replied "This is not just going to take place in Mumbai, but all over India. We have coordinated with fan unions in all the major states and all of them have willingly complied. Major collections are expected from U.P. since they face more load-shedding problems he said.
What now remains to be seen is that whether Salman'sTubelight, along with his fans' Tubelights, is able to break the opening day collection of Bahubali 2. So if someone comes to your home selling tubelights on 25th June, be assured that he is a Salman Khan fan and be careful to not mention how bad Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was.
