okay wow, the hate everywhere is terrible to see. it's not so bad, I was expecting the worst, so this was a thankfully less spicy surprise. *fingers crossed*
Both Shivaay and Annika are miserable, utterly shattered and broken souls, barely standing and surviving. They foolishly thought they can go on without the other, but frankly the way one heart is just waiting for the other to come back is heartbreaking.
As though one tadibaaz heart is stubbornly & adamantly refusing to let one live in peace until the other comes back.
Both haven't taken a single step to moving on. Tej even looked sympathetic towards Shivaay when he said, "Ever since Annika went, you've forgotten how to live..." He looked sorry for the younger fellow. The whole family can see it. And the culprit is right there, looking like a victor unable to celebrate her victory.
Shivaay, the great wall is right there, doing his duty, his job, for the family. But his heart, it's zidd, wants Annika and nothing seems to appease it. His brain tells him to stop thinking of her, yet her words just wash over him uncontrolled, like fresh in the memory.
that bloodshot devastated look in his eyes might only change when they set sight upon Annika again.
Why hasn't he gone to see her? He knows where Chanda's house is, she hasn't even tried to hide from him. Why should he? Why didn't she come and see Om? She knows he's in a coma from Gauri, but she never came to see him? Or did she, we never know.
Tej wants to pull life support off from his eldest son. There was deep sadness there, but he didn't want to see his son in that vegetative state. "Let him go with dignity" was heartfelt , but the father in him was unmistakably there.
But the grief in Shivaay and Gauri was too much. Both are suffering his absense, and Shivaay is still that caring Bade Bhaiya for Gauri. They want to wait for him to come back.
Shivaay is functionally there, but at the same time not himself, like a hollow thing. He flinches at the sound of Annika's name. Missing her has turned into a smoldering burn that keeps him in that state permanently.
Just one mocking word. "You couldn't even manage your own marriage, and you want to decide on others' lives?" set him off in a rage. No phone throwing , he just (got changed and took out his superbike) up and drove off in a devilish speed to almost jump off a cliff.
like what!!? Why???!
I thought he lived for his family? That they are all he wanted and needed? How could this Annika have so much power over The Shivaay Singh Oberoi's life. What audacity of the woman.
(sorry, I didn't like the bike scene. won't tear it to pieces, but I just didn't. Don't even mention that nasty joke mini heartattack of making us think Pinky was calling Annika . Bad joke, guys. Bad.)
So he drives to the edge of the cliff, and Rags comes to stop him, looking like the good girl friend. She apparently has been a good friend the past 3 months, someone Pinky suddenly depends on because her son doesn't look her way at all, let alone listen to her. Stupid woman is being played by a conniving woman. Rags is seemingly getting engaged to some guy called Siddharth and Shivaay absolutely refuses point blank to come to the party. Flat out, No.
No chemistry there. The smile for Rags is wintry and cold, doesn't reach his eyes.
Tadibaaz heart waits for his true other half to return.
Annika is no better state. After initial acceptance, she seemed to have lost that job. More than Shivaay, I would suspect Pinky' hand in this. So she's been living off Chanda the whole time, just crying herself out, not even using her enterprising self to do anything. She's broken too, her heart is just not bouncing back up, just sitting there with her on the floor weeping for Shivaay.
Sahil's school fees are a big worry, and no job offers are coming. She is defeated, just weeps and weeps. And is watched by another miserable stranger drinking his woes away in broad daylight.
Samar is a rich man, a curious mix of anger and despair, speaks in prose of pain and sadness. Looks at a photo of someone and drinks himself into stupor. (Kind of reminds me of the state Shivaay is in, curiously)
He spots the heartbroken crying pretty girl, recognises the similar pain, and is kind enough to offer a glass of tea. Seems like a nice guy, offering companionship in misery.
As they raised the glasses, both are thinking of their own troubles, together. (Lovely shot. I liked that visual, "together but with different paths" kind of vibe.)
Annika is in no mood to be friendly or to even smile the slightest. She just walks away, leaving the tea untouched. Samar is brought back home in a big luxury car by guards. "Madam wants you to come home"
(Is Samar, Ragini's brother or the Ex? we'll have to wait and see. Writers have sprung many surprises today, I'm going to wait and see and disbelieve all the so called spoilers. )
I can totally see Annika getting a job with Samar, and they help each other out through their misery as friends. One part of me worries that Annika is the one going to plan Ragini's wedding inadvertently. *facepalmXXL*
in summary, Shivaay's tadibaaz heart refuses to let him move on, waiting for Annika to come back. He does nothing but threaten himself with death in rage. Miserable state he's in. Annika is in a even more pathetic state, her spirit seems to be broken.
Waiting for Om to wake up, so all these miserable people can have some relief...
Not so bad guys, we were expecting the worst, and this wasn't bad.
