A while ago someone created a thread asking why actresses gravitated towards Sri.

I couldn't find the video then.

But here is one compilation (not comprehensive though) where all these leading ladies go ga ga over her.

That's interesting IM.

Sridevi's stardom is not discussed as much, but she ruled at time of even Amitabh B.

She was first female superstar.

Sridevi was the bonafide female superstar

The last of them alongwith Madhuri

Back then female centric movies were made as commercial cinema thanks to directors like Yash Chopra (Lamhe, Chandni), Hrishikesh Mukherjee (Khubsoorat), Shakti Samanta (Aradhana, Kati Patang, Amar Prem, Mehbooba)

Now its all abt machismo, herogiri, action, and male stars rule the roost, no directors like the above to make commercial female centric movies.

See the talent of those female actors and compare it with Alia, Kat and Deepu !!

Yes, male superstars have dominated, but there is not one actress, except Kangana, who can take the challenge. But she doesn't get opportunities like Madhuri and Sri

She is indeed a league of her own.. ⭐️ there was no one like her and there perhaps will be no one like her.. she's just a brand of her own, a brand that is set apart from other actresses..

Sri was something else!! Love love love her! ❤️ Mr India..that movie was called Miss India coz Sri stole the limelight. Chandni...Rishi and Vinod Khanna were sidekicks to her. I could go on and on. Like others have said...Sri was the 1st female superstar. There's no one like her.
