its not cheap to advertise in time square, may be they want to attract Chinese tourist, will they include the cost in their final budget total.

It costs million or so to promote on TS billboard. Useless expenditure for promotions for Bhai's movie.

But in KPop the rich fans pool in the money and get their idols on the billboard.
