4. The easy game
"So, why do you think I like you?" Malvi's rudeness isn't fading the smile on Vinod's face 😃
"Because I know it. And I like you too" Vinod is as straight forward as he's in his game😉
"Ohhh.. Now I seee it" Vinod enjoys Malvi's dramatic expression
"Uff.. Finally.. I thought it's gonna be difficult for me to explain my intentions into your dumb head" Vinod is full on teasing mode
"Never mind.. We are not gonna like each other.. I mean not in that way"
"What way?"
"Look.. I know I like you.."
Vinod twitches his lips teasingly
"Don't do that.." She demands and he obeys
"What I meant is I like you for your game. And from the look of it I can say you like me for my skill too.. "
Vinod just stares at her
"This is just infatuation. Let's not confuse it much"
Vinod like a child nods his head
"We just finished our sports meet and it's good that we get to meet new people"
He continues to listen to her lecture
"And now it's time for goodbye. Let's not complicate anything"
"Are you done with your lecture?"
"I don't know whether I said it all. But the key message is that's all for now. Okay?"
"Okkk enough for a day, Momma bear" He folds his hands in front of her pleading her to stop
"What?"
"Thank goodness.. I'm escaped from this bore, for lifetime"
She starts hitting him and he starts running. She chases him and their argument continues.😆
Vinod is completely smitten by Malvi. After their first encounter at his game, he heard good things about her game from Rakesh, their team substitute who was coaching during the girls' match. Vinod was then looking forward to watch her match. And during the semifinals he was blown away by her performance in the court. Added to that was her attitude pride in herself, made her look endearing to him. He ensured that he cheered his best along with his crowd during their finals till he saw her team winning the gold for their college. In all this fiasco, Poornima was the one annoyed to the core by her newfound enemy.😉
It's the Christ college who wins the gold in the boys' section. The host college arranges a special dinner for all the winners, on the last day of the sports meet, closing their finale in a grand manner.
All the winners gather at the college auditorium. Students utilize this time to socialize with each other along with the delicious food.🥳
Prasanna walks in and finds his team all settled with their own company. He sports a cool avatar in light blue denims and a round neck white tee. For a change he is wearing a scarf around his neck. And he looks very stylish in this relaxed look. 😎
"Baava, look at you.. The show stealer of the day?" Vinod teases him
"Please baava, spare some looks for us too.." Another boy from his team intrudes
His students are very dear to him. And they all lovingly call him baava..
"Darlings, they all are out of my league.. And you all know it.." Prasanna winks at his boys
"Look at them, baava.. All their eyes are on you" The boys are pulling his leg
He looks around hoping to find someone.
"Baava is missing someone?"
Prasanna smiles and ignores Vinod's probing.
Just then the Carmel girls rush in with full enthusiasm. They all look very different and cool in their casual outfits. Vinod just couldn't take his eyes iff from Malavika who is looking gorgeous in a denim skirt and a spaghetti top. He quickly scans through himself and is happy with his navy blue denim and light blue shirt.
Prasanna spots Satya among them instantly. She is everything like a pretty young woman, looking adorable in her capri and long shirt, held with a leather belt around her waist. Her make-up less face bright and fresh in her natural form.
He waits to see any action from Satya. And there he gets it. Satya just casually scans through the crowded hall and her eyes fix on Prasanna. They share a quick eyelock without any explicit acknowledgement of each other's presence. It's very evident that they are making a conscious effort to be normal with each other but they know inside that nothing about them is normal.😳
Malvi holds an empty plate in front of Satya and she takes it with a sweet smile.
"What's on the menu?" 😛
"The starters look yummy. Let's attack there"
Malvi and Satya are good company to each other when it comes to food. They both enjoy food in any form. Filling their plates with a platter of varieties, they look for a seat to settle down.
Vinod walks upto them and invites them to join their group. With little resistance from Malvi, Satya manages to get her join the Christ boys.
"Is the baby girl still scared of us?" Prasanna starts his tease
"I'm not a.." Malvi starts and Vinod interrupts
"She's not a baby girl.. Am I right my dear baby bear?"
"You are absolutely right, not my dear monkey man"
"Did I miss visiting the zoo today?" Satya jokes and everyone laughs
"They are leading us.." Prasanna says to Satya when none is hearing them😳
"Pardon me?" Satya chokes on her food😳
"They met later than us, you know" He goes straight into the matter
"Vinod is a charming boy and works well in that department. " Satya shows that she's no less in being bold
"So is that a complain against me or a compliment for him?"
"Mayyybe both.." Satya winks at him and gets up to refill her plate
Prasanna is taken aback but is enjoying her attitude😉
The dinner time moved on well with everyone socializing with each other to know more about people, work, studies, etc. etc. On one side Vinod is still struggling to get Malvi's attention all for himself but in vain. She's enjoying the fun and tease with all the boys along with her girls' team. Vinod is trying hard to take it all easy which comes naturally to him but today it looks like he's seeing a different version of himself.
Prasanna and Satya talked different things. About the students, their job, their college and maintained their professional stand throughout.
They wrap up the party and bid goodbye to their newfound friends. Tomorrow they will be gone different ways taking back a week full of memories from St. Aloysius college. Prasanna and Satya say goodnight to each other and leave the hall. Before moving in different directions they look at each other in silence and then turn to walk on their own ways.
