OS-|| Being An Oberoi Vs Being Her Shivaay||
"Sign the divorce papers, you can leave tomorrow morning. Until then the guest room is yours." His voice echoed loud , clear and demanded. She shook her head in a yes, putting up a brave strong face while her heart broke painfully into tiny bits. He turned to leave, a helpless tear rolled down his cheek slowly as ever. In fast strides he made his way to the room, locking himself in. Finally he let out a deep breath.
Strange were the ways of Destiny. His two worlds which comprised HIS Family, were breaking apart and he had to choose one. A deep dark secret that lived with him killed him. He never questioned his life WHY? He always put up a brave face and fought. But today, he found himself again at this point, helpless as ever.
The scene replayed in front of his eyes as his vision blurred due to warm tears of pain, that he had thought he had grown immune to.
Flashback-
He ran to his parents room, to show them his new certificate. He was excited to see there happy faces, especially his mother's. The door of their room open. He was about to enter when he stopped midway, hearing them argument. He was about to walk back when he hear his name being mentioned, curious he stood by the door listening and peeping in.
"Pinky, Shivaay baccha hai humara...!" He said trying to calm his wife.
"Aapka Shaktiji, aapka, wo mera beta nahi hai, uss aurat ka ganda khoon uski ragon mein dautaa hai, chee...! Wo mera Beta Nahi Hai!" She spat.
"Pinky, ek din aisa aayega, ki tum khud, Garv se kahogi, ki wo tumhara beta hai. Pinky, Maa wo nahi hoti Jo janam deti hai, Maa wo hoti hai Jo USS bacche ko paalti posti hai!" He said, unable to argue further.
"Shakti jii, wo mera beta kabhi nahi ho sakta, lekin main itni bhi buri nahi hoon ki kisi bacche se usski khushiyaan cheen loon, lekin sau baat ki ek baat, main usse apna kabhi nahi keh sakti! Uski Maa toh usse aap pe thop ke chali gayi, uski apni Maa toh nahi lekin ek aurat hone ke naate main usse bada karoongi, lekin mera apna samaj ke nahi!"
Tears rolled down his cheeks, his green eyes glistening. As he heard all that. He wasn't her son.! She wasn't his mother! But, yet she was willing to take care of him! He was a mature boy, being the eldest among his cousins it came to him naturally. That day he made a promise to himself, to one day let her call him, HER SON. She was his mother. She was, no matter what. The days after that had been hard for him, as Pinky always had a certain aloofness towards him. But the family loved him. His Badi Maa was always there for him, she treated him the same as she treated OmRuPri. His respect for his family increased by leap and bounds.
Then later one day, when he had gone to wish Daadi good night, he heard Daadi speak to Daadaji's portrait. It was about him. Daadi loved them all. She loved him a little bit more cause he reflected DaadJi's personality. She was telling DaadaJi about her fear. Fear that the truth of Shivaay being Naajayas might break the family, and love the younger kids had, which unfortunately never was seen in her own children, Tej, Shakti and Roop.
Shivaay loved his siblings, never in the wildest dream could he think of being separated from them. And he made yet another promise to himself, To never let any harm come on his siblings and to pit them before himself, no matter what!
That day onward, arose the Great Wall Of Shivaay Singh Oberoi. He stood as a shield for his family against up and down. He covered his own wounds by giving utmost important to Naam Khoon Khaandaan. That way no one would ever consider to point fingers at his family. None. With time he was loved by all, including Pinky. He gave back to the family in every way possible. He gave the "Oberoi" name an altogether, different and majestic position in the society. Pinky, with time had grown her love for him. He did all that for her that not even an own son could ever. And he himself started living in the world as an Oberoi.
Present:-
He wiped away his tears. As he sat helplessly on the bed. Today, Life had brought him to his biggest test,he had to choose his Family or Anika. He had to be loyal to the love he had got so far or the Love he had got without doing anything. He had to choose between Being An Oberoi and Being Shivaay. The family made him an Oberoi. She made him Shivaay, the real him.
His brothers were his life and she had chose to play them as her cards. No chance he would leave them. He loved them too much. They loved him back the same. They knew he had always put them before himself, and now they wanted him to choose himself for once, choose Anika.
Anika had failed at that, she couldn't make Shivaay leave him by the "brothers" way, so she choose "the family" route. She had pulled yet another act in front of family, forcing Shivaay to choose her and HIS family.
She knew he would choose family, he loved her, but he loved them more. If only she knew, he loved her just the same.
He felt miserable. How could she agree to leave him? He had chosen the Family and knew she was sure he would do just that, then why is she doing this? His heart was bleeding by the minute. He was sure he couldn't live without her. Maybe just exist. But , if she left, Shivaay would die for ever. Her Shivaay would die.
She had known the Great Wall he was, but had never tried to understand or know any more. She thought it was natural for him being the elder to be the one he was and that was partially the reason. But the other part of the reason remained buried in his heart.
Life had brought him back to that stage where he was once. Lost.
Torn between Reality, His Existence Was Lost.
The next morning, he woke up late. He din't know whether it was the tiredness or the fear that kept him in sleep. He looked at the clock, she would have left.
A tormenting pain shook his already weak heart. He was helpless. Neither did being an Oberoi help nor did being her Shivaay. His Existence itself was Lost.
He should run and stop her, before its too late.
He should let her go, for the sake of the peace of HIS Family.
He wanted to cry, cry out loud.
She was the only one who saw his pain even when his Family, His Mother and his Brothers failed. He knew and understood her for what she was , was a tinted reflection of himself. He appreciated her cause she was self made and herself no matter what. Something he feared he would have failed at, if he was in her shoes. She had conquered her heart and had access to it, like none other. If she would go, a part of him would die, or maybe the entire.
Lost he sat there, time seeming forever.
Suddenly he felt his skin go cold, his breathing become heavy, his heart thudding at an abnormal pace,a minute and he realized, it was water.
Was it raining?
No. It was the rain she bought. Rain of love, care , understanding and tenderness. He looked up and met her eyes.
"Aren't you late for office already?" She asked.
He must be day dreaming he thought.Or was he already dead??
He rubbed his eyes, she was still there.
He pinched himself, she was still there.
"The same way you can't leave your family, I can't leave mine too..!"
He hugged her at once."I thought you would leave me Forever, ...I thought you were gone!?" He said in a low lost voice.
She smiled, " I had promises to keep!"
" Why?" He asked. Summing up all the questions in his head. Why din't she go? What made her stay despite his words!? Why ?
"Some questions just don't have an answer. !" She replied shrugging.
He din't want an explanation either, she was here and that was enough. He hugged her tighter, his life depended on her.
She sighed. She din't know whether her dream was reality or not, but it made her realise one thing,
She can't leave him !
She was his breath. Like he was her heartbeat.
She couldn't afford to kill him at any expense. Maybe he would be hurt in near future, but she will be there with him, no matter what!
