It was past midnight and Mehek was still twisting and turning in her bed . She looked at her side and saw Nehal sleeping soundly ...it was a very long day...of course she was tired ...but the time difference between the two lands took away the sleep that she was craving for...already an insomniac and now the time difference...great she thought to herself...She took her mobile from the side stand nd swiped the screen ..it was 3:30 am .. she had 2 unread messages, when she opened her inbox, she saw Harry's name . God she had completely forgotten about them ...she typed her message telling him that she reached her home safe and sound...nd that she would do a vedio call with them tomorrow nd that she already started missing them and asking both him and Anna to take care...She didn't know when sleep took over...
Was she nervous...hell yeah ...she was...not just nervous but excited too about her new job ...The hotel was much bigger than what she has hoped for...she was again in a conflict that whether she could manage it or not when the receptionist called her

Mehek smiled at her nd said thank you...the woman walked away ... it was now or never..Mehek thought to herself...she lightly knocked the door and was immediately answered...
Mr.Mehra was an elderly gentleman...a happy one and he was enough kind to her ...he made it very clear that he was honoured to have her as his employee and thanked her as she chose The Mehra Group..She signed the contract...The Chief Chef was called into the cabin and he was introduced to Mehek...His name was Jacob Philip..He was in his late forties..Mr.Mehra told him that Mehek will be working under him as his assistant. Chef Jacob had told it's his privilege and assisted her to the kitchen
..On the way he told her that he is so happy to work with her and his wife and daughter are her huge fans and they knew all her dishes from ISC by heart...She smiled at him and told that she would love to meet them ...
She was welcomed warmly by the fellow chefs with non stop cheering as she was introduced by Chef Jacob and she was stunned when they said that they have made something as a surprise for her and brought rice pakkoda ...the very 1st dish she made in the ISC...She was touched by the effort they took to make her special...When they said that they know it will never match up to one she made ...she denied and told them it was far better ...
There were about twelve Chefs in total under Chef Jacob ...five different teams ...They were categorised according to the territory they dealt with...and the most attractive thing was they were all cordial to each other...all were friendly and Jacob was not at all bossing around...After discussing with Chef Jacob and two other Chefs she decided that she would handle the dessert section ..She had her personal interest cornered for that one and she was happy...She was given complete liberty to try out things in her section ...Mr.Mehra personally visited them and made it clear that she was comfortable and felt at home and had told her that he would love to taste her desserts without any delay...and she had promised him other will be ready by the next day...
She decided to go with Coconut rose semifreddo..an Italian dessert ...She asked Chef Jacob that whether she could manage fragrant roses...She steered away from getting them from the florists as she didn't want them to be treated with harmful chemicals ...All the arrangements were made within half an hour...She made the rose syrup and now it required about twelve hours to set ..to get its fragrance into the syrup ...It was five in the evening and it was time for her to leave...next day morning she would come and start away with the rest of the preparationsame for her Semifreddo and she would present it in the afternoon to Mr.Mehra during his lunch hour she thought to herself...
It was drizzling when she started her scooty...she didn't mind it though...the one thing she missed dearly was this rain that too while riding her scooty...she had always been in love with rain and the scent after rain...It was so soothing for her as she felt rain drops kissing her face...
The last two months were hectic for Shaurya Khanna...he had to travel Germany and back thrice ...The paper works and the Collab Contracts were to be handled...He had asked Rajiv bhai to go the last time ...but bhai denied
..he had said that he was not confident to handle it alone and as usual it took the Shaurya Khanna to seal the deal ...Only if the journeys weren't that tiring ...he had spent countless nights in flights and airports...so much for being an insomniac he thought to himself...but as the fruit of his hardwork he was opening his restaurant The White Chillies..this week...it was nothing less than a dream come true for him...He had been behind this for a very long time...and bhai was with him from the beginning...The invitations had been sent to all major group of hotels...Frankly he wanted to show his French investors that he is in a healthy relationship with his competitors...He began to get frustrated as the rain poured down heavily...God I'm just back to home and it's already raining ...how much I hate this..he thought to himself ...He asked his driver to go faster...he didn't want to get stuck in the traffic and that too when it's bloody raining...He was about to close his eyes when something familiar caught his eyes...it went like a flash ...was it her??...no way ...she was being a tease for quiet a long time now...but as a reflex he asked the driver to stop the car...it was raining heavily...He immediately got out of the car and walked towards his destination...the driver came running to him with umbrella...Shaurya Khanna was caught off guard by the fact that he was standing in the middle of a road in heavy rain and as cherry on top without an umbrella...he was soaked ...but the sight in front of his eyes was enthralling to him ...There she was ...Miss.TRP ...Mehek Sharma...she was standing in a side bus shed...she was playing with raindrops using her fingers ...she was splashing rainwater by taking it her hands still standing under cover...She had changed ...He noted ...Her hair was now longer ...past her waist...and boy she was wearing a royal blue long top that went below her knees along a grey jeggings ...the color suited her ...he noted mentally...and for the first time he felt glad that it was raining as her dress clinged to her as her second skin and she had curves to die for...suddenly he was taken back to the swimming pool incident...when she was clinging to him for her dear life ...how her soft body felt against his...he was brought out of his lala land by a truck horn...He came back to his senses and looked for her...She was not there...God is it happening again ...is it my mind playing tricks with me ...But this time it felt so real...he thought to himself with frustration ...
But soon his eyes caught her again
...the rain has slowed down ...She was starting her scooty ...Immediately Shaurya asked his driver standing with him with the umbrella to go start the car...Taking the backseat Shaurya asked the driver to follow the scooty...He frowned at the driver and asked whether he could see the girl and the scooty...when the driver said yes...Shaurya asked the driver ...OK...then tell me which color is she wearing?? ...The driver was taken aback by the sudden questioning and looked at Shaurya as if the person in the car was someone else...This made Shaurya more impatient nd he shouted to look and then tell...The driver immediately answered blue...Shaurya Khanna was happy...so finally she was back...for the last six months he hadn't seen her not even once...bhai had gone asking her whereabouts...but her family informed that she went to her relative's house for a change although they didn't disclosed the exact location...She took a right turn to a by road ...His car couldn't follow her anymore...The road was too small for his car...When asked his driver told him that this road was a short cut to Purani Dilli...
For about ten minutes he sat in the car without uttering a word looking the road she took...And when the driver asked him in his trembling voice that whether he should start the car or not ...Shaurya Khanna noted that he was smiling for no reason and he was feeling calm and content after months .
