The Saathiya Family

I was watching an old episode of Saathiya (because that's all I ever do now since I'm taking a break from Saathiya as long as this stupid Sameera, Ricky, and Seetha track is going on) and I saw this capture. Seeing the whole family together like this was so nice. The whole point of Saathiya was that it was a family show along with being a saas-bahu show. Why can't they understand that we love the Modi Paarivaar? They don't need to include useless new entries and kick out the people we've been with for so many years. All I want them to do now is marry Seetha to Ricky and send them off somewhere into another country where they can stay there peacefully, and bring back the old cast! So many people have left the show because the CV's never manage to give focus to everybody in the family. People are always getting sidelined and it's just tiring and very upsetting to see how Saathiya is losing such great actors! If none of the old cast members come back, I will officially give up on this show! They've messed up the whole entire show with their Krishna Raheja track and now this even dumber Ramakhant track. In order to rescue this show, they need to take a few steps back, stop bringing in new people, somehow get rid of all the useless new entries, and bring back the cast members who have left! Where are all of the juicy tracks like the Radha tracks, the seperation tracks, the tracks in which one side of the family becomes negative and the other positive, reunions, etc. ?

You are absolutely right. While saathiya was never high on logic it had a charm because it was about family and relationship. After the leap last year, things started going south. The introduction of far too many negative characters has destroyed the show. Every time they introduced a vamp or villain the ratings dropped. Also they started having two parallel tracks and it is almost as if the Modis and Suryavanshis have no relation with each other and each house has a separate tormentor. There were the Rahejas, Radhika , Daimaa and Sameera for the Modis and Naiyya, Chanda and Bhavani for the Suryavanshis. The only common enemy has been Gaura who I thought was a much more intersting character than the rest of them put together. So much has been happening in Meera and Vidhya's life and Gopi seems to have no clue, that seems highly unlikely. As a mother she would have kept in touch with them . The story would be much better if they get rid of Sameera, Ricky and Co and concentrate on relationships. Some characters are just props and might as well be replaced by furniture.

The Suryavanshi track is being used as a filler sometimes which is a shame as some of their story lines has been much more interestingand I feel they have the better actors on their side-not this latest track though with Bhavani which was excruciatingly painful to watch sometimes.

I feel the CVs have finally realised that what works for Saathiya is being true to the title. Saathiyas being there for each other. So now they have brought Gopi and Jaggi closer and will be getting Bhavani out of Dharam's life. Hope they do something about Sameera as well

You are spot on. Gaura was the most intersting villain and hope they get rid of all these minor players and bring both families together fighting against a common enemy. But something tells me it won't be Gaura but Bhavani who would want revenge now against Gopi and Sita as well as Meera and Dharam. that could be still watchable rather than this day to day drama some of which is being recycled.

Bhavani as an antagonist against the Modis was OK. Then they made her lust after dharam and it became weird.. I think there was a vaccum when Tanya was off the show for a while and they were trying out various partners for Dharam and finally settled on Bhavani. The fact that she is off to prison means high chance of her teaming up with Guara. That would be watchable. But Ricky has to go. He cannot act to save his life
