Depends on the actors. If it was Konkona vs Kangana I prefer Konkona the star kid. There are many, many talented star kids. So I do not prefer one's talent over the other. I want to say among the current bollywood stars the best actor and actresses are the star kids. I do wish more outsiders got a chance to shine. Like Vikrant Massey! Man he is superb. There is so much more I want from him.
My biggest problem with the current lot of star kid is man they are not easy on the eyes. If I have to suffer poor-average acting I would rather suffer from watching the likes of Aditya Seal, Aashim Gulati, Kartik Aryan. I don't want to see Armaan Jain, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Harshvardhan, Mustafa 🤢🤢🤢 Each one hurts my eye more than the one before. It sucks when you have neither talent nor looks. Have at least one so I can say well you might not know how to act but I sure do love looking at you.

I like both!
Both have different backgrounds and the kind of backgrounds they have is almost opposite to one another perhaps at every level..

Whatever the criticism may be, I feel both have their own qualities to bring into the industry, and both do have their own challenges in life/career, no one's life is easy or a cakewalk. One may have a smooth journey in one aspect in comparison to another, while they may have something difficult to deal with in a different aspect of career.

Cinema requires both IMO. Excess of either will stagnate the industry, flux of actors with star and non-star background is healthy.

How about semi-outsider like Ranveer Singh?

My biggest problem is with starkids who keep getting chances despite not even being good. I know there are a few insiders too. Though, talent matters most. So star kid or outsiders, doesn't matter when it comes to that.

& as expected thread is full of starkid & nepotism haters.. LOL. 😆

I'll watch Varun, Tiger ANYDAY over Sushant. Ayushman etc..

I'll appreciate an actor if i like his/her performance.. i wonder why does it even matter whether they're star kids or not..

I would prefer either one as long as they are talented and good looking.

Honestly I don't think anyone has ever had major issues with star kids until this guy KJO started his nonsense. People just got irritated with the way he has shoved them down our throats and made stupid remarks about the whole situation. No one cares who is a star kid or outsider, audience just wants decent acting, good looks and worth their money movies.
