Sridevi has no regrets for not being part
of Baahubali' franchise. The actress
had reportedly been approached to
play the part of the queen mother in
the epic drama.
Both the films have witnessed
tremendous success and all the actors
associated with it have been hugely
appreciated for their roles. However
recent news that Sridevi was first
approached for the role that Ramya
Krishnan went on to do have been doing
the rounds. According to Times of India,
the actress though allegedly turned
down the offer after the makers did not
match her quoted fee.
Speaking at a recent promotional event
for her upcoming film Mom', Sridevi was
questioned on why she turned it down.
Ever the diplomat, she responded saying
another actress took on the role. She
further maintained it is now in the past
and to move forward from it.
Whilst it would have been an extra treat
to see the talented actress associated
with such a huge franchise, looks like
she is now focused on her next film
which will no doubt be a treat for the
audience too.

Lol, I have absolutely no regrets either. Ramya Krishna was born for the role of Sivagami. I can't imagine anyone else playing it and having the same impact. Sridevi may have looked the part, but her dialogue delivery is mediocre when compared to Ramya Krishna's.
