Last Chapter

Days started to pass without any big change in life of Maan, Geet, Sam and dadi..

Maan and Geet had hid their love deep inside of their heart and it had taken a place of care concern and friendship for each other..They were always for each other when ever one or the other was low ..But there was little change in their relations too..Geet had now more authority on him.. She could scold him now for his carelessness..She could force him to have his food on time whenever he was busy in his work and he used to enjoy her authority.. Dil Hi To Hai...No Matter how much we want to suppress it, sometime it refuses to hear us and wants to be loved and cared by someone whom we love...Maan knew his limits very well with Geet but he always admired her from her heart

Maan hadn't shift back to his room with Sam as he had already told dadi that she should not have any more expectation from him in this relation..

Dadi so many times asked Sam to take some interest in house but she was not interested at all. She had made some more friends with whom she had made a grp who loved to enjoy their free time... Whenever dadi asked Sam to sit with her and talk to her she always had one or the other excuse to run away from her as in her eyes she was old and was always preaching her...Dadi felt herself helpless as she could not be harsh on her as she was her choice and Maan had already declared that he would not give her place of his wife in his life so she could not say anything to Sam..like to take care of Maan or to try to spend some time with him..

But she got a new friend in Geet.. She could call her any time ..if she was free then they used to talk together but if Geet was busy she always promised her to talk later.. dadi asked her so many time to come at home but she avoided as she did not want to face Sam who never left any chance to humiliate her..

Dadi knew it well that Geet's name from her mouth made Maan angry but she could not hold herself more and talked to Maan one day

Maan.. I need to talk to you

Maan.. a..actually i was thinking that if you want to marry Geet ..I don't have any problem..

And shocked Maan looked at her

You can divorce Sam if you want ..she quickly completed her sentence ..She was scared to see his face but she needed to say this to him..

BTW dadi which court accepts divorce in just fifteen day of wedding? and for a moment i get agree for it then can you tell me Why sam will be agree to divorce me? what reason you will give her? Will you be able to tell her that I love someone else so she should divorce me?

dadi had tears in her eyes hearing Maan's declaration.. Today she realised that she had done such a blunder which could not be rectified now

Sam did not know anything about Maan and Geet and Geet did not know that dadi knew the truth about her and Maan. She thought that dadi was impressed by her care and love so asked her to call her dadi.and that was the only reason that she was very open with dadi without nay awkwardness

Sam waited for Maan to shift back in his room but he did not..She was thinking that Maan was sleeping in separate room to stay near dadi after her illness but dadi was now perfectly fit and had taken the charge of the house back.She waited then she was irritated on him for behaving like that with his wife

And she thought to talk to him...

He was in his study..

Maan can I talk to you?

He did not like to talk to her much but she was in front of him so could not avoid her

Maan..when are you shifting to our room?

I lam in my room only

No..I mean the room where you used to sleep before marriage

That is your room now. You like that room so I thought to give it to you...He could understand well where their talks were heading but he was completely ready today to clear her every doubt today..

Sorry dadi..I forgot to tell you last night that i have an early appointment at hospital so thought to come without disturbing you,,I m sorry dadi..

Sam reached hospital .. few of the staff saw her and wished her..They knew her as they all had seen her at the wedding at hospital..

At reception she got to know that Maan was paying the visit to the room of a patient whom he operated last day..

Her mind did not go on Geet as in her eyes she was nurse and was below Maan's standard..She was thinking that girl to be a doctor..She tried to concentrate on lady doctors..Most of them were married and carrying their symbols of weddings and looked happy..

And then an idea clicked in her mind..How did I forgot that nurse Geet?..She must be knowing about that girl..

And she asked a nurse who was passing by there-Excuse me sister May i know where sister Geet is right now?

Yess Ma'am..she is having her duty in children wards..

Ok Sam thanked her and went towards the children wards..

Kids were reading comics but Geet was nowhere to be seen

Hello kids.. Sam called them... they looked at her and remember that she was Dr. khurana's wife as they had met her few days earlier..

and Geet laughed hearing him and he smiled looking at her

and Maan looked at her.. She too realised what she blabbered and tried to control the things..

Sam who was looking at both of them from the corner of the window, saw the expressions of both changing from smile to sadness...

Sam hid herself so that they could not see her

After Geet left she too left from there without making any sound..

She was driving with anger.. Her mind was just thinking of Maan and Geet..

Geet..That useless nurse..She rules Maan's heart? Door bell rang and Rano opened the door..and saw a woman at the door..

Sammm... mann felt the call cut and he was frustrated ..damn ..

He was living in Mumbai since he was born so the area was well known by him..Sam was not from Mumbai so knew only fix routes of the city.Maan took the route of the lanes instead of main road so that eh could reacg there as soon as possible..

Please God. Save Geet... if I have ever done any good for any one you have to save Geet...

Geet saw Sam going mad so she tried to jump out of the door of the car but the car was centrally locked so could not open..she tried to hold the steering and turn it but Sam was well prepared for it..car was running zigzag on the road as Geet was still holding the steering to stop her...

The other car drivers saw the car and tried to save themselves..they could see two women in the car..one was driving and other was trying to stop her they could see that the driver lady was some insane woman who was not stopping the car..

Maan was on the way to the lake he was driving very fast.. he even hit one or two small vehicles on the way but did not stop..every moment was very precious for him..

Maan reached at the lake and saw a huge crowd on the bridge passing over the lake They wer looking in to the lake..his heart sank seeing such a huge crowd there..he got down of the car and ran towards the place where they were looking..he saw the railing of the bridge was broken

K..Kya hua hai yahaan..he asked someone with a thudding heart praising in his heart to prove himself wrong for thinking like that

And one man told him..

Pata nahin ..a car just broke the railing and fell in to this deep lake..

What?? There was darkness in front of Maan's eyes hearing that..

Who was in the car? he again asked and prayed not to be Sam's car

There were two women..one was driving and the other was struggling to stop her and this accident happened..is seemed as if it was not any accident..It was intentional as the woman who was driving the car was laughing and other one was crying..

Maan tried to look in to the lake but there was nothing.. no movement in the water..

Geeettt.. He cried shouting her name..Everyone looked at him? You know who those ladies were in the car? Some one asked

But he did not reply... he was looking for any movement for any signal or any hint about the place where the car was in the water..One eyewitness called police and narrated the incident.

Geeettt.. he one more time called her hoping for some response and they saw some movement in water... and before anyone could react Maan had jumped in to the lake

And soon people saw a woman emerging from the water and throwing her hands and legs but there was no traces of other woman..

Maan was swimming fast toward the figure.. He did not know who she was? Sam or Geet? his only attention was to swim towards her and save her..people were watching him with thudding heart.. if he would be able to save her?

And they saw him reaching near that woman..He grabbed her and pulled near him and started to swim back towards the bank of the lake..

Poilce had reached there with the divers ..They inquired about the accident and after getting the information divers jumped in to the lake to find the missing woman..

Maan put her on the ground and saw her face..It was Geet who was lying unconscious..and he was so emotional seeing her there..He was unable to control himself he hugged her tightly too feel her near him.he could feel her breaths on his neck

His eyes became teary seeing her in that state.. he patted at her face..Geet... Geet..aankhen kholo Geet ...but she was not responding.. He put her on the ground again and turned her on her stomach. He tried to press her back to bring the water out of his body. After few pushes the water came out of her mouth and she started to cough..

Geeettt.. he quickly turned her to face him and she opened her eyes.. She looked at Maan and hugged him tight.. and started to cry..Maan too hugged her and patted at her head..calm down Geet and he pressed a kiss on her head..Thank God Geet you are safe

Geet had clutched him like her life and was not ready to leave him..Maan could understand her state.. she had come out ditching her death..Geet was sobbing badly in his arms..

Geet shant ho jaao... Main hoon na tumhaare paas.. dekho.. you are safe..Please Geet.and Geet came in full sensed after few minutes and she looked around..

Sam kahaan hai Geet?

Geet looked at him..and replied in trembling voice...she she was with me in the car.. .wo to bahar aa agyi hogi na

No.. she hasn't come out.. and they both stood..Maan supported Geet as she was feeling weak after struggling for her life in water..they stood there Maan was still holding Geet in his arms as she was still shivering

Maan and Geet both were looking in to the lake. Police had called the GCB to pull the car out of the water.. After searching for sometimes divers came above the water and signaled the driver of the machines to pull the car and they started their work and few minutes later the car was out of the water but the view of the car forced everyone to close their eyes along with a loud scary shrieks.

Geet closed her eyes and hid her face in Maan's chest..Maan too closed his eyes as he was not able to see the car..and he covered Geet in his arms and pressed her fave more in to him as if he wanted to protect her from more pain ..he wanted her not see that scene..he himself collected his courage and looked at the car

Sam's lifeless body was hanging from the open door of the car with both hands and one leg swinging in the air and other leg was tied to the clutch rod.and her foot was trapped between the clutch and break..

Flashback

She was an expert in swimming.. While jumping in to the lake she had unlocked the car as she knew that after drowning in to the car the mechanism could be failed so she had already unlocked the doors..Geet's mouth was wide open and she shrieked with fear and in that effort the air was filled in her mouth..

When the car was under the water Sam tried to come out of the car but her shoe lace was tucked in the clutch while coming out of the car.. and she jerked her leg to free it but the knot of the lace became tight loop of the lace was reduced and it was wrapped around the clutch rod and Sam could not loosened it . It was wet and slippery.. Geet saw the doors of the car open so she opened it and came out of the car ,,the air was in her mouth so it was helping her to come up.. Sam saw Geet going from there and this made her angry and tried one more time by jerking her leg but this time luck was more cruel with her ,,Her foot was trapped between the clutch and Break.and now it was in such position that she could not even move it..She tried to free her foot from the shoe but could not as there was no space to move her foot.and now there was no air .. only water and water around her.. She tried and then got tired and her patience broke down..soon her breaths and heart beats started to become slower and slower .and she had lost any chance of survival..

Geet who was trying to come up heard a very faint voice who was calling her name... and this gave her strength..and few moments later she again heard her name in faint voice. the voice was not very clear thru water but she could hear that it was her name only and it helped her to struggle more for her life ..She was tired and was to give up but she felt herself dragged by someone and she lost her senses completely..

Flashback ends

Geet who was hiding herself in Maan was sobbing to see Sam like that..Maan was trying to console her by patting her head..Though he did not like Sam at all but he did not want this result for her for her deeds..He felt bad for her and he too could feel his eyes wet..After all she too was a human and the single daughter of her parents..but it's true- As you sow so shall you reap..Sam wanted to kill Geet but she was not God .She was only a human who did not know what was written in her own fate.. She was a human only who did not have any power to change anyone's fate..

Geet who was scared of water and feared to go near it, was alive and came back safely and was in the arms of Maan. There is a saying ..jaako raakhe saaiyaan ..Maar sake na koi ( means that the one who is being protected by Sayeen( GOD) cannot be harmed by anyone or anything.)

Everyone linked this story to the famous old classic Dil Apna Aur Preet paraayi.. but i could not see any similarity between these two other than the leads being Doctor and Nurse.. though this combination is shown rarely in Movies and the fiction so it's very obvious to compare it with that movie . but now everyone thought it like Dil Apna aut Preet Paraayi so i decided to steal one scene from the movie.😆😆 The last scene is inspired by the climax of the movie..😳😳
