Aap ki beta if he was younger. He is too old to play Gus, but acting chops wise yes. Aloo is the one who has the acting chops and looks the part of a teen. This movie should not be made in Hindi.

Just - If Aamir can play Rancho in 3 I, why can't RK play Gus?

On topic-There were rumour about casting Varun in it, no?

Anyway not sure how good or bad the book is but I do trust Varun's script sense.If he could manage to make Dhishoom a semi hit or something, he can manage.Also heard he had rejected OK janu.

As for Sid in it.Can KJO not repeat VD/SM for at least a year or so with ALO. Also It's not even funny to see him having that same expression in each of his film. LET him try his luck outside Dharma.

I have heard 3I is based on a book, but did not read it. So Rancho is Aamir despite how he is described in the book.

TFIOS is a beloved book, by a favorite author and somehow the people in the book and my head became the people in the movie. I can see Aloo as Hazel, but aap ki beta as Gus, no. His WUS days look is what I see a desi Gus as and he is far, far from that now. Perhaps he can be made so with makeup, but again this is Dharma and the trust factor to do so is missing. Just personal preference.
