yes... taz.. people do stick to their ritualistic beliefs... one has to show tolerance..you will agree.. I think it was useful to both sides of the story... uma's reasons.. of course it is an individual's choice... in context it was shown payal does the unthinkable to show adaptability..

In this very episode faith has shown different shades. There are some ppl who just follow cz they have seen others to follow, but one strile and the faith is shaken. Like maasisa here.too proud, yet fails to notice the true meaning of faith.some get too obsessed with faith that they forget to decide between right n wrong, that's uma. Then comes kanak, she gains her courage from her faith, inspired by it but not blinded.

the reference of name Kanak I loved in the show.. Uma was thinking. .he was more like he being intoxicated with Kanak's beauty..he has never took kanak in that way.. he has always consider her gold.. well that was interesting aspect n that might lead to his future behaviour with his wife.. Maasi was so so irritating yarr...she needs to shut her face bt we kno that extreme religious factor does occur in our society perhaps the root cause of so many mishaps..that arrogance dividing humansi believe is the root n so ths absence of religious harmony. .khair.

Maasi only pays lip service to faith.. many do.. and few practice the true faith..

Umashankar's decision to be fire if she didn't come was also arrogant to me yaar.. he was like how can I be wrong in identifying her.. his extremism startles me.. n to me he want to save his face.. hiw he will handle dunya walon k taane..??
