She can't reply rudely to the internship offer her sister's husband proposed, so she took her time to reply.
*** How can I deny him? Yep! ***
"I don't" she started.
"You will have to pass the interview to get in! You will not get it for free for sure." cutting her in-between.
"But"
He cut her once again.
After few minutes of talks and convincing with Suraj having the same opinion as Chakor, she agrees to give it a try.
*** Sistah is making it difficult for me being in his side. ***
- I can't get another chance. -
"When I have to come to your office?"
"We will do you interview here." putting the cup down.
"Here?"
"In my study room when you are ready. She will guide you." pointing at Chakor's sister.
He went to freshen up before going to study room.
After 10 minutes, Chakor made her way to the room which is just next to his and waited to get permission to enter.
Once she got, she entered and closed the door following his commands.
She took the seat opposite to him over the table, then she pulled out her CV that she had in her handbag as she wanted to go through few companies after visiting her sister.
*** Lucky me! I had my CV with me. ***
"Can we start?"
"Yes Jiju!"
He glared and she couldn't speak properly "So...sorry"
"I'm only SR Fashions CEO now!"
She nodded.
- I can't let her call me like that. -
*** Strict! I have to overcome this. ***
"When you are ready we can start."
"I'm ready!"
"Present yourself please!" He said.
She started with a smile:
"I'm Chakor Bhuvan Lal. Finished my last semester in Business Management at University of Melbourne. Searching 6 months internship to validate my diploma and especially gain professional experience in the domain.
Being innovative and open-minded, SR Fashions, the best fashion house holding number 1 position in India, America and few other Asian countries will for sure give me an opportunity to explore my skills and to enhance my qualifications."
Interview continued for few more minutes before arriving to the last series of questions.
- Interesting person with interesting qualities. -
"What are you hobbies?"
"I'm a dreamer so I like to watch a lot of romantic films.
And travelling is my pass-time."
"Not bad! In this profession you have to travel and meet new people. It's needed professionally. By the way do you have any questions?"
*** Trips! Not bad for an internship. ***
"I would like to know few things."
"Go on!" leaning on his chair.
"Under whose guidance I will be doing my internship?"
"You will be with me. If I go on some business trip, you have to come with me. Company will take charge of everything."
- I'm not going to let someone else to be with her. -
"Sure! The next one is when will I get the result of this interview?"
"In few minutes!" with a smiling smirk laying on his lips.
"Cool! I mean I'm grateful."
- I can see the child in her. What am I thinking? Concentrate! -
He just smiled at her and asked her to continue with his hand, so she continued:
"From when on I will be on post once selected?"
"From when do you want to start?"
"Coming Monday!" enthusiastically.
"You can come this Monday! You are selected Miss. Lal! I'm impressed with your profile and talks." bringing his hand in front of her.
"Thank you Jiju(BIL)" seeing him glare, she said "Thank you Mr. Suraj Rajvanshi. I will be an efficient worker." with a wink and she shook hand with him.
- Why do I feel like that wink is to hide the fear of something. -
*** 6 months and then back to my world. ***
"You can come tomorrow to sign the needed documents. I will tell my PA to call you regarding the necessaries you have to brig to complete formalities."
- She is tensed. I can feel it in her hand. But she is smiling. -
Taking their hands back, they got up from their respective seats to go towards the door until they heard a permission to come in.
"Is the interview finished?" asked Imli entering the room after getting the permission from Suraj.
"Yes Sistah! And you know what? I got it! It's going to be super fun!" hugging her sister.
- It's really going to be fun.
My entertainment is actually starting now. -
*** Yeah! Fun to see if I can get back to what I was before. ***
Suraj left the sisters alone and went to his room which is just next to the study room with a smile playing on his lips.
After 35 minutes, Suraj heard a knock on his door.
"Come in!"
"It's me Jiju!" Chakor exclaimed entering the room.
"Not again!" he said a little pissed.
- What is the problem in calling me by my name? -
"Sorry Ji! I will call you Sir as you will be training me!"
*** I can't call him by his name. ***
"What's the problem in calling me Suraj?" getting up from the couch while Chakor is standing at the entrance of the room.
"We will talk about it later. I have to go. I came here to tell you bye. Bye! Will meet you tomorrow!" saying so, she left from there closing the door behind her.
"What the?" he said passing his hand through his hair.
*** Great escape! ***
- Will see how you will get to escape tomorrow. -
At the time Chakor was at her house, she got a call from Suraj's PA asking her to bring the necessary documents and giving needed information.
As fixed, she was at the entrance of the SR Fashions holding her handbag and a big travel bag.
"I'm Chakor Bhuvan Lal. I'm here to meet the MD of this company."
"Do you have an appointment Mam?"
"Yes!"
"Just a second Mam. Please take a seat in the waiting area."
*** Office looks great. Hope the people here will be good too. ***
Few minutes passed before the receptionist made her appearance in front of Chakor.
"Sir is in his cabin waiting for you Mam."
"Mmm" leaving the magazine she was holding.
"This way Mam. It's on the last floor."
"Which direction?"
"There is only Sir's cabin."
"Oh! By the way, can I leave my travel bag in the reception please?"
"Sure Mam!"
"Thank you!"
Chakor left her travel bag and went to the last floor of the building where she finds just a big room with a wooden door while the rest of the office was of glass walls and glass doors and even the lift is of glass.
*** Privacy explains everything. ***
"Come in!" she heard.
"Hello!" she said.
"Please take a seat!"
She smiled.
- Formals also looks sexy on her. -
*** He looks different from his photos in magazines with these formals. ***
"Was it hard to find the office?" he asked.
"I asked the cab driver to drive to this adresse and he did. So it was easy."
"Cab?" frowning a little.
"Yeah! Dad went to office! Mom to a club! So no car!"
"Do you want me to buy you one?"
"No need Ji Sir! I will buy with my income once I learn to drive."
"Call me Suraj!"
"I..."she hesitates.
"Why? Is my name not good or you don't like it?"
"Nothing like that."
*** I will never say that. ***
- Let's get back to the important work in hand. -
"Here are the papers. Read them and then sign them. If you have any questions, just ask me. Ahaan! Give me the needed documents."
She takes the given file and put it in front of her before getting the document she has brought to pass it to him.
"Let me call my PA. Take your time to read the papers." he pulled the phone from it's place "Just! Do you want to have something! Coffee or Tea?"
"Will I get mango juice?" with a playful smile.
He smirked and pushed few keys of his phone while she was waiting to know what he was doing.
- She doesn't know me. -
*** Let's see if he treats me differently from other workers. ***
"Karan come to my cabin within 5 minutes and ask the cafeteria responsible to bring mango" she interrupted him.
"I was just jok" he did the same showing his hand.
"Yeah mango juice in 15 minutes." he hanged the phone and raised his brows asking 'What?' to her.
*** No! I can't take this. ***
"I was joking. I don't want anything."
"Even if it's a joke, you will get what you asked."
"I don't want to be treated differently from others." biting her lower lip.
- Don't do that! -
"You are different from others."
"How?"
"You are getting a chance to work with me."
- That's a special thing! -
"Yes Karan!" when they heard a knock.
"Sir!" Karan getting inside the cabin.
"Take these documents and make copies of them to complete the formalities."
"Yes Sir!" he left from there taking Chakor's file.
When Suraj turned his attention back to Chakor, he found her going through the documents with her lips parting and closing as she reads each word.
- Why are you making it so hard for me to resist?
Moving them while reading is good.
But I want them to move in sync with mine when they are in contact.
Oh this girl is making me crazy! -
He shifts his attention from her to his work but his eyes are stuck to her face. So he just tried and that too with less effort.
On the other side, Chakor is fully indulged in the documents.
"Come in!" Suraj yelled as his beautiful thoughts were interrupted by the knock on the door. Chakor jerked in seat with his voice and lifted her head to face him.
Seeing her shocked face, he softened his look and turned to Karan's side.
"Everything is done. Once the training agreement is signed, all completed." Karan said.
"I will call you then."
"I finished reading. I have no questions. I will sign them now!" Saying so she started to sign.
*** Poor guy! How many times he has to work up for me? ***
"You can take your time." Suraj says.
"No! No! I finished!" signing the last paper.
She arranged all the document correctly and handed them to Suraj."Complete the formalities. and by Monday morning I want the needed equipment in my cabin." Chakor's expression changed to a questioning one. Karan nodded and left from there.
"Was that for me?"
"Do you have any doubt on that?"
She shook her head negatively.
*** Great! How am I going to work in front of him all the time? ***
Cafeteria responsible came with mango juice and left it on the table in front of Chakor.
"I said I was just"
"I told you already!" in a firm tone.
"If I ask I want to go to Paris?" raising her brows.
He smirked.
"What's that for?"
"You will get to know it!"
- Never try to read a businessman's mind! -
"Ok! I will see you at home!" putting the empty mango juice glass down.
- Am I going somewhere without my knowledge? -
