The dismal performance of Ram Gopal Vama's Sarkar 3 has got the director pointing finger at Amitabh Bachchan for its failure. Mr. Varma is now planning on roping in popular news anchor Arnab Goswami to play the titular role of Subhash Nagre. Sources say that the director was particularly concerned about the way in which critics has torn to shreds the latest installment of Sarkar franchise, calling it marginally better than RGV ki Aag. It was however the lackluster performance by the lead actor, which the director thought was the reason for the failure.

Speaking to Faking News on the latest development a movie critic and popular entertainment personality said, "RGV was pissed off with all the criticism. He had to be. Some critics said the movie was so dark literally with the movie characters all sporting black outfits that it was difficult to understand if it was Sarkar 3 or Black 2. Amitabh was hissing away his dialogues. Slurping his tea from a saucer while ruminating over his machinations. And all he said was mujhe jo sahi lagta hai main wohi karta hu. I think the franchise needs a new face. Someone who can carry forward from where Amitabh left."

"Unfortunately at present there is no one in Bollywood capable of doing that. But many believe that Arnab Goswami can do justice to the character of Sarkar. Goswami is a law to himself. He wont left anyone speak. Does what he feels is right. Petulant at times and fancies himself as an anti-hero. RGV has thought over this and though he confesses to be obsessed with Mr. Bachchan, he believes the time is right for let go the bollywood actor," the source added.

RGV may have his reasons but trade analysts believe that it was the string of flops that forced the director to rethink his strategy as financiers refused to back Sarkar 4 unless there were some layoffs.

Arnab Goswami was not available for comment but it seems the fiery news anchor might could consider playing a role in the movie, which could be his only chance to move to the big screen.
