1) sangeeta and shabbir....they gave a hot mixture of biology and chemistry, probably could give the couples a complex if they competed
)poonam and manish....manish's shirt was umm..... ridiculous, for some reason poonam was on her toe most of the time but yet overall they did ok.her explaination for manish's stage conciousness was funny
)manini and mihir...mihir looked quite uncomfortable, i fail to see why the choreographers do not give thier students/stars steps that they are comfortable with or put thier best physical feature forward. as saroj said thier dance was more of a progression of sensual poses.
)amit and neeru....well they seem to concentrate more on biology than on chemistry or steps.also someone should tell them his is a dance competition , not a makeout session. on positive side thier blatant exposure and amit's outspokeness probably saved them from being chucked off as first pair(viewers have a tendency to vote for expose all couples).
)apoorve and shilpa....they did good , however i was not comfortable with the song, the slow tempo calls for postures which look funny on stage. also i concur with saroj, shipa wore a dress that showcased her lousy footwork, a sari or a lehenga(something to cover the legs would have served her better).
)archana and parmeet....once again very slow song, parmeet looked killer in his black shirt and pants, archana looked sexy in her sari which seemed to be more on ground than onher shoulder, not to mention cleavage display. they looked good together simply bcoz they complement each other very well physically and create a kind of intimate chemistry(what other kind is there)
)ronit and mansi.....here is a couple i honestly believe got chucked off unfairly. from what i have read rohit is the dancer and mansi very awkward , however today's performance was more of mansi's performance, her come-hither looks, waving her somewhat wet hairs at rohit's face and expressions of melting sensually were great. there was no vulgarity and no hesitation. it was rohit who seemed more nervous .
)varun and raajeshwari...they were great and created a yesteryear magic on the stage. most of the dancing was done by raajeshwari with a few steps thrown in for varun with which he was very comfortable. however it was thier expressions which set them apart(they were good with raajeshwari playing the seductress and varun, reluctant seduced). the steps were such that rajeshwari used both her body and dress to best advantage. the only complain i have is that purple of rajeshwari's dress and orange of varun's dress clashed too much.
)rajiv and delnaaz....i think the whole thing was something from mars, the mannequin theme was awkward, rajiv's and delnaaz's dresses ridiculous and the song too slow(more of a cute romantic number than melting sensual one).even if judges liked it, i did not...seemed like kids attempt at sensuality(these are actors for god's sake, not some 14 yr old novices)
)sachin and supriya....there was nothing not to like, supriya seemed ready to tear clothes off sachin 😉 , they were very comfortable with steps(no awkward poses or footwork), they had great chemistry and understanding in the dance, the expressions were great and best of all without any vulgarity or too much of so called biology. despite all the criticization, this couple is really exceptional and worth all the raves.
)sai and shakti....hmmm...they chose one of the most sensual(trendsetting) song in the hindi cinema. this song had brought plain chiffon saris back in fashion so much so that during those days it was hard to find a plain orange/yellow chiffon sari in the market like the one madhuri wore on screen.also the anil-madhuri chemistry on screen for this song changed all the definations of hot and bothered.shakti seemed a little hesitant , could not understand why sai had that big bindi and sindoor on her forehead, instead of a near copy of the original they should have gone with more pg steps. afterall chemistry lies in eyes and subtle body language more than in steps or actions. the fact can be seen in varun/rajeshwari, sachin/supriya 's performances.
