I skim through DBO most days but I think Gauri has already told most of the story to Jhanvi and Bua ma. They seem to know Om misunderstands Gauri. If Jhanvi/Bua ma sees Gauri trying to leave OM, they will definitely try to hold her back as they think she is the ideal bahu for them and wife for Om. If she does manage to leave, either they will hunt her down and bring her back like they did before when Chulbul was revealed to Jhanvi or they will force Om to bring her back.
Gauri has to stay in OM in order for their love story to progress. Plus there's budget constraints (I heard them saying "budget nahi hai" about something in today's Khanna's insta live)... they cant keep spending money on another set for Gauri.
