International cosmetics giant L'Oreal recently got a taste of the tantrums thrown by Bollywood stars.
Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival as the Indian faces of the brand and Team L?Oreal wanted to shoot a commercial featuring all three of the Indian stars.

In 2016, L?Oreal Paris had shot a commercial featuring Aishwarya and Sonam to promote their lipstick collection. And this year they wanted to shoot with their star trio, including newly minted L?Oreal ambassador Deepika Padukone.

All three stars were asked to green light the project and Aishwarya gave the project her thumbs up and let the team know about the availability of her dates.But that is when the problem started. Turns out, Deepika and Sonam did not want to shoot together at all.

Interestingly, Sonam Kapoor was mistaken for Deepika Padukone by the international media at Cannes.
But the two actresses made their stand clear. They were not averse to sharing screen-space but they did not want to shoot together.Aishwarya was informed of the change in plans.

So, to comply with Deepika and Sonam?s demands, L?Oreal has decided that they will shoot all three of the Indian stars separately and combine the footage with digital trickery to make it look like Aishwarya, Sonam and Deepika are in the same frame together.
Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have always shared a cold equation, thanks to Ranbir Kapoor. The star had dated both the beauties before he moved on to Katrina Kaif, who too interestingly had a contract with L?Oreal. So, everyone was surprised to see Sonam and Deepika's camraderie on an episode of Koffee With Karan in 2010. (Perhaps the reason was that they where jointly ROASTING Ranbir Kapoor).

We wonder if the two warring ladies will be able to fake friendship for the cameras again as they pout and preen in the commercial.

How professional of them. Idiots. They get paid in crores yet can't put their ego aside and stand in the same frame together

I doubt it's true. Sonam and Deepika may not be fond of each other but they wouldn't throw their weight around unnecessarily.

Doubt it's true too. This isn't a small-time magazine shoot that Sonam or Deepika could pull off such nakhres, it would be clearly mandated in their L'oreal contracts. Spotboye is known to make up stories anyway.

Don't buy it at all.
If there has to be one spokesperson who doesn't share screen with the rest it's Aishwarya.
But I was wondering if any of them had shot an ad as they usually do.
Even Katrina took part of the pink collection ad on her first year.
Wonder what happened this year.
