SvS2 - Eppy 2 - An Analysis

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai 2nd Eppy, Monisha ka mannat Part -2 was good. Won't say it topped the charts like S1 but it was on the same vibes as eppy 1 of svs2. Looks like the whole series will be in flashbacks... which I'm in two minds abt... Dunno whether it's a gud thing or a bad thing...😕

Anyways let's see what was best n not so best in this eppy imo...

Best things abt eppy:

1) Maya's monisha murdabad express is back!! N we get a double dose!!! 🥳 That was fultoo fun! Gud ol' tyms...

2) Sarita n Maya's sophisticated hypocrisy is bk too!!

3) Saahil n Indu teaming up against Roshesh? yep that's spot on again! 😎

4)Joint kavita by Rosh, Indu abt Indu? Was kool but it lacks a lil Rosh touch... wud hv loved a lil more onomatopoeia😆

5) Monisha's farm fresh just 3 days old sambhar with Italian risotto is back too! 😆 along with good dose of money saving and dipping chocolate cake in kadi! What's life without a balance of taste, right??!

What wasn't a hit for me:

1) Too much of hain hain phupha... few scenes like idly scene is spot on but others was a lil ott...

2)Exxxagerated drama... Rosh's bridge thing looked too much OTT imo...🥱

3)The kid's acting totally misses the mark... He is cute but I wish they chose sm1 else who cud do cmdy better...

4) Editing was weird smhw... Can't put a finger on it but seemed disjointed esp due to back n forth FB formula...

Plus there is heavy dose of 18+ comedy... Dunno where to add that in my list! I'm confused! 😛😆 Team sure is happy to get away from the restrictions of TRP saas bahu audience who wud hv got a hrt attack hearing certain words they r happily using here!! 😆😆 They sure seem to b having a gala tym with it!! 😆

In the end, I just wish we could get to see their old avatars a lil more... This show is full on nostalgia and I hope they utilize it to their advantage by adding adequate doses of old gags but not overdoing it and then add a few new gags which wud bcm another set of unique long running gags all by itself...

Hmm hey their.. well I agree with some of your point..yes even I m thinking ke yeh flashback to present waali theory kaam karegi ya nahi I m worried about that thing...well about acting wise I would say ke abhi epi 2 hai and dhire dhire they are coming back to track to bring old charm back.. I m not saying they are lacking charm...but yes ..so thoda time lagega ..mujeh epi 2 mein woh old charm nazar aaya

Episode was better than 1st episode . Murdabad express was good . Rosesh ki kheecho was good . But it's good as other comedy serial . It's not like SVS . It's missing that suitability & sarcasm . Except Indravadn nobody is behaving like there characters . Indravadan is like straight from Season 1 . But not others . May be because I have just watched marathon of season 1 before the start of 2nd season . And still watch . Whenever I was season 1 episode after season 2 episode I notice a huge difference . They need to change acting style & looks accordingly . Maya is ok but still not in the character . Same goes for Sahil & Monisha . Rosesh is big disappointment . He have nothing to do in this season than loving Jasmine . No fun watching him like season 1.

Bridge scene was good . But again for SVS it's created humour . About adult jokes , I do enjoy those if it's in limit . They have took advantage of social media platform . I enjoyed those here also . But am confused whether these jokes should be there in serial like SVS 😕

I'm really missing the warmth between Sahil n monisha.In season 1 there was a lot of love under the comedy n frustrations. Now he seems fed up of her

Lovely analysis and agree with you on some points

the editing was bad sometimes and the bridge scene with Rosesh was exaggerated.

But Maya's phone call with Sarita cracked me up when she said of course I'll come to the birthday party 🤣

And I am not liking this flashback format wish they had just simple episodes like in Season 1

The second episode is a vast improvement upon the first, i cracked up often...it felt more like them.

Honestly the first episode did nothing for me, I was worried that the sequel would be a damp squib but they got the zing back. I cracked up often while watching the second episode, esp how they brought out all the familiar character traits: Maya's Monisha Murdabad rants, Monisha's middle class harkatein, Rosesh's poetry, Sahil's exasperation...and above all Indu's never-ending unintentional torture at the hands of Madhu Phupha🤣

I am not sure whether addressing the audiences directly is working as well...This narrating the flashbacks style. It cuts the flow of the comedy when Maya addresses you in the middle of her Monisha -related rant for example.

^^ This cracked me up! 😆 TV serial type? wch shw?😆 I actually thought sm english movie gone bad kinda back n forth... Dint knw tv serials r hvng such thngs too nw... may be dats why thy r dng it, hotstar wud hv asked them to do that if such FBs r in vogue...

yeah... even i'm missing the chemistry... Like the chocolate cake n kadi thing for instance, he had dbts that his monu will do that? old saahil wud be cent percent sure of it! N new saahil is like really, u did that? Err that's supposed to be Maya's reacn to monisha, not saahil's... even in the bus i dint feel it...

Hmm but im gng to gv them benefit of dbt that maybe lack of chem is bcz it was the 1st eppy shoot... thy might warm up in later eppys, who knows? Let's hope for the best... Fingers crossed...
