See the theory is simple. Maya is severely mentally ill. Woh buri hai ya nahi yeh toh mujhe nahi pata.
To add on to it, she has a wonderful past to support its idealolgy. She loves Arjun (actually she doesn't, she thinks she does, her love is a strong part of her mental illness ) . So no love, only mental illness, mental illness based on insecurities, the result - her marriage is based on insecurities. Why only marriage, Maya's character can be defined to be insecure.

You both were talking about the crazy vachchans right, so the man who took those crazy vachchans with this much of confidence, what did he do? He broke every single one of it! And he will keep doing it, probably it is a part of his character due to his childhood. He says big things but doesn't stand by it.
For exs,
1) In S1, he hated VM, few words from Maya's past, and BOOM, now he loves her sauteli maa turned maa
2) He makes promises to Maya, he would not lie, not drink etc but immediately goes out with Saanjh, gets heavily drunk, says I love you Dusky, and the other girl thinking he just confessed his love leans forward to kiss him
3) He told Maya that I cannot ever stop loving you, in the start of S2, he wants to get rid of her
4) S2, reaches Ayaan, shares everything with him, calls him his jaan, but when Maya accuses him of attempt to rape, we all know what Arjun did
5) He is the only man in the universe who goes from " Jab sans aana band hoti hai toh aankhon se saamne andhera chaa jaata hai" and "Main tumhara haath tod doonga " to "Main Maya ko nahi maarta "
6) The same man who was ready to break Maya's hand when Maya broke VM's hand doesn't mind Maya shooting at Saanjh and Vandana, "Woh bechari kya karti?"

So you get the point. Ham jaise logon ke bas ki baat nahi hai Arjun ko samajhna. Aur Maya ko samajhna toh bhagwaan ke bas ki bhi baat nahi hai. Milge na 36 ke 36 gun.

Aur ab ek zaroori soochna . Maya ki beemari ka naam pata chal gaya.
Koi OCPD, MPD ya Psychopathy nahi hai usse.

This happened bcoz Maya has superpowers!!!
She deleted Arjun's video with her superpowers then did the same with Saanjh's sent mail!
Infact Maya sent a message to Samay which hypnotised him into killing Prem.
Arrey yaar aur kuch na sahi toh kam se kam Maya ki superpowers toh reveal kardo beyhadhwaalon! 😆
