When Helena asked Nandu to prepare Handi, The Dai Ma of the Prince should have stayed taking care of the Prince as an excuse. Instead she carries out the orders mutely. And Chandu comes there smiling like a School Boy.
Both Chandu and Nandu are imperfect samples - which makes you wanna take them to a corner and slap them like Jim Carrey in "The Mask" movie.
I would give credit to Chandra for one thing for sure - Nandu has been warning him about VK only in private. He has been carrying out his own investigations, but alone. Nobody else seem to have suspected the VK.
Anyone who opposes the King openly immediately gets the attention of the public. So, he promptly brings Nandu to Sabha and actually accuses that Nandini has an allegation against VK, stating that VK is not even a Princess and is an imposter.
Now, if VK has to be in good books, she will have to prove people that she is indeed a princess. Which means, she will have to curb her tails for a few days. That would give some time for Chandu to work his plan.
So, what Chandu indirectly did was to ::
a). safeguard Nandu by scolding her in public, in the first place (and that one always is prone to get into trouble willingly 😉). As such, he had collected evidence against VK. When he read that letter yesterday from his Minister, immediately he asked Daasi to summon everyone to court - esp Nandini. May be, that's why, he dint need to read the torn paper that Nandu took pains to retrieve from VK room. He is repeatedly calling her Daasi, reminding her what she is here for, ask her to mind her own business, Take Care of her wounds first, before she turns detective and gets herself killed in the process... so all this, was to protect her.
B) gather more eyes to watch VK... And now that everyone Knows that VK has been accused of an impostor, if she is seen moving around in unknown quarters, it will raise a few eyebrows. So far, nobody saw her going to Library and tearing off Nandu's book, nobody saw her ranting off VK's theory in that store room where she bit the Minister, and biting of a solider in a lonely corridor. Now she can be watched by anyone and everyone.
c) when he is saved, he wants people to notice that Nandu was the one who sniffed VK as impostor, and Nandu was the one who saved Him - husband and King.
d) Rajdrohi saving a King gets a redemption for his crime... and his heart wants to clear her off her case... at least for his mother's sake ... coz his mother wants Nandu the minute she sees Bindu well. And now, she has a perfect VK girl who seduces her son, looks good or a girl, a princess at best, and getting along well with Bindu, and taking care of Bindu as Mom.
A perfect replacement for Nandu - which is what Chandu keeps reminding Nandu ... if he could find a replacement for Nandu, he would have done that earlier. Why did he have to bring back from Kaling ?! he is, in fact, challenging her... remember, when Chandu teases Nandu that YOU CANT DO IT ... TUMSE NAHI HOGA ... it is when Nandu gets into the warrior's foot and gets it done. Just Ike Balgram, Patalgram, Pretatma, cow dung cakes, burnt chapatis ...
