As far as I knoe Sandy had challenged kabir he would get the kohli cafe. Now that he has almost accomplished it , he is helping kabir to save it though indirectly.
What he is actually upto?

Maybe I am the only one who's not confused regarding Sandy. From the way I see it, he simply wants to partner up with Abha rather than snatch her business even though Kabir's father & businessmen like Thulia prefer to just snatch the cafe away. Regarding the 'snatching cafe' I thought he said it out of ego because Akshay beat him up. He doesn't like taking away other people's livelihood & disrupting their lives. He made that quite clear initially. He wants a win-win situation for both parties IMO. But Abha is not heeding his advise & neither is Kabir listening to him.

You are not the only one Sam. Sandy is shrewd no doubt, but he is taking the "ethical" way. And of course, there is a soft spot for Abha.

Trust BKK to not just portray a contemporary take on relationships but business as well. The business culture in India, as the shows would like us to believe, is all about hostile takeovers and back-stabbing. The original business owner retaining some control over the business after a merger is common. May be that is why they showed Sandy gifting her the book.
