lull before the storm?

Yesterday's episode was cute.. enjoyable, especially after the one they gave the day before where things made lesser sense even by ZKM standards...😊. So, yesterday's all light hearted, lively episode was entertaining...But...it still feels like everybody there and here are waiting for the storm to hit...
I don't know if it is just me.. but all these feel like filler episodes to get to that big life altering incident about to happen,... I wish they would give some meaningful Mehrya moments (like the pool romance or the drunk Showrya's talk) and then rip it open like bandage and just cut direct to the incident and continue... The waiting game is tough...😊

Monday's Episode looked like a filler but still it was required as he should be aware that someone is trying to kill her...and direct marriage without any ceremonies will look like a daal without tadka...so as of now let's enjoy...as we know what is stored for us after marriage

Diya, you know why I didn't make any posts this morning? Because I did not like yesterday's episode. I don't want to blame the makers or the actors for this. I'm sure they are working very hard in very difficult conditions, and I'm sure they'll get a lot of appreciation for it.

The reason I didn't like it is not because there is a storm coming. I don't mind storms for they bring their own possibilities. I just that the disconnect from the previous episode persisted. I couldn't relate to the two characters and so then couldn't relate to the romance or anything else.

When did Mehak become such a person that she wouldn't kiss before getting married? I don't want to see kisses, but I don't like such moralising. Do something else, do something more interesting.

Even the wordless conversation yesterday didn't work for me because it was not subtle. The idea of two people in a relationship having special smiles and special looks only for each other is so charming because it is subtle, because it is under the radar.

Anyway, will not rant further. Most people are happy and I don't like posting only critical things online anyway, because it feels disrespectful of people's work, so will let everyone else enjoy the show and return when these two pull me back in.

Shaurya is aware something is slowly fermenting & growing, beneath the calm surface, and there seems to be a peculiar kind of sinister stillness that preceeds thunderstorm, Vicky was reassuring him regarding his doubts, Shaurya now yearns for a normal happy life full of hope, dreams and love,he no longer wants to be caught in the dark cold shadows of past, but be in a light, free place full of warmth,a real home and a family of his own, where it's okay to be vulnerable, without his cynical arrogant mask 😳
MehRya romantic scenes soon will be a thing of flashbacks(no wonder, yesterday's episode was full of mushy moments) , once the blast from the past will come out, with a bang,it will be followed by morosely silence, shock, disbelief, like the eerie aftermath of a violent storm, what will be left ,will be broken, in shambles

I get you Vedika, I don't want to be the naysayer too all the time, especially when I know there is a general good feeling abt the epi 😊

I didn't mind the epi, but nothing stood out or made a lasting impact. And like you said, I can't fault the actors or makers for yesterday's epi. Nothing seemed off, but everything did. And I still can't pinpoint to what was off for me. Maybe it is waiting for the course to change, or maybe the intense, angry, can't keep my hands off Showrya works better for me than the smiling one, or maybe I wanted some meaningful moments like the precap one...

Yeah Nitya, all these mushy moments are there to haunt them in days to come. In fact I think they gave us a preview of what is to come, only to show these lovey dovey moments and in a different light. It makes us just as antsy abt it all...especially since I am eager to know how it will proceed after. It could give us a good storyline and show...

BTW, I liked what u said in a different post abt these two being like scissor. I am looking forward to that...

@Bold: exactly what I felt too.

Yes, the same scenes in a different context may have worked for me, but didn't work yesterday. Perhaps we'll have some meaningful moments soon, whether serious or lighthearted.

Diya, I'm not going to criticise, but I kept thinking about what we'd been talking about, about how sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. So I'm just putting down a thought here.

If they want to add to the chuda scene today, they should put in a flash of the scene when she put her chuda in his hands when she left the house. They don't need a dialogue remembering that, just music and the same scene flashing in both their minds when he is making her wear it. That will do two things at the same time: a) that was one of the most powerful moments of the show, and long time viewers are immediately in a more positive frame of mind when they see it and b) its like the sort of things they used to do once, when they would both drink water at the same time on a call etc., that adds a layer to the relationship.
