i completely agree if including a trained dancer in a dance competition against non dancers is unfair as 50% of winning depend on dance, then its equally unfair to put very popular stars against non popular stars as 50% of winning depends on public voting too and popularity ofcourse holds a role there. I will like to give example from nach baliye only, hiten and gauri reached quiet far in nach baliye in their season as they were a very popular telly couple and they were not good at dancing. Their performances were regularly scored low still they used to survive for quiet a timedue to their popularity. if i am not wrong...they were in top 5. This is fact as judges mentioned that in that season and the jodi themself admitted it. We can take recent example too...aashka brent are eliminated today but they deserved to stay while divyanka vivek are sitting there when they deserved to leave at this stage of competition.
But this is neither dancers fault, nor popular actors fault...they were considered for a show and fitted completely in the rules and regulations. So if either of them wins, then its completely fair and square. Both of these have an advantage over others...and both still required hard work to win. After entering, it depends on their journey too...like if hitein and gauri were not nice dancers, they didnt literally won it. They reached close and the same if a trained dancer isnt able to attract viewers support through their votes, then he or she can dance their best, do as much as they want, they wont win either like lauren finally lost the competition. But if a popular actor is working hard on their performances and if a trained dancer manages to attract viewers and make them vote for them through their amazing performances, then their is winning is completely justified. Both trained and popular stars bear more pressure as judges have more expectations from trained and audience has more expectations from popular ones and both want to meet the expectations.

As someone asked here...i would like to answer , yes if putting lauren and sanam with untrained dancers is unfair in a competition where winning is 50% dependent on votes, then it is equally unfair to put salman and shahrukh khan in a show against non popular ones when winning depends 50% on voting.

Honestly 1st time I think DT target by many only cuz her popularity
I also don't like DT & bash her but its only because she is not dance well & better dancer than them eliminate & she survive only because of her popularity when its a dance reality show

Here everyone knows who is deserve to be winner but they don't want abinam winner
So find lame excuses

Sanam pro dancer never become so problem cuz he & abi has not big fandom
Abi is act only side characters not a lead award winning bahu that she had crazy fandom
So people thought they are not survive so long

But because of abi's growth they earn fan through NB

& that's become threat for some people
