Unless it's a finite series that is specifically meant to have season 2 season 3... bringing back a serial for season 2 season 3 hasn't worked successfully, for the other serials, from what I see...

except for Naagin of course, which is supernatural... there also, it has a different lead actor opposite Mouni Roy now... she would've brought JA 2 and made Salim Anarkali main leads... 😕 imagine!

season 2 aur salim anarkali ke bare main sochkar bhi meri rooh kanp uththi hai😆😆. Inko ek second jhel nahi paye. Aur poora ka poora season 2😆😆😆. I dont even want to imagine 😆

in JA we stickd to the show to know wht will happen nxt nd here obviously we know tht nandini will save chndrs from vishknya..
nothing is new in this.. the same concept to bring the leads closer..
bt original is original.. we can't forget that nd compare it with any other show..

Item number worked in a few movies - suddenly, it's a part of all movies (except the art ones)

Breaking from the DD serials, Ekta's Kutumb and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi were trendsetters... suddenly every channel was filled with Saas Bahu serials in every half an hour slot possible...

then, historicals and mythology worked... now, starting from Shani to Karna to Budh... to Shivaji to Lakshmi Bai to Ranjith Singh... there is no character that isn't having a serial made upon them!😆

Her supernatural Naagin worked, so she brought in Brahmarakshas? And if you look at those two serials there are so many things being copied there too😆

This is never going to end!😕

Baahubali was a rage so she copied all original scenes of CN from BB 😆

Next we'll have Nandini walking on Chandra's shoulder 😉

I'm just glad that BB craze came after JA... because I couldn't have taken JA seriously, if I saw Akbar flying from one roof top, landing between garden, dealing with villains and then flying off somewhere else to deal with heroine...

I do not like the serial CN or its production values and that's no secret. It pales in comparison to JA on many many fronts.

But where credit needs to be given , it has to be given!

A) Just because of the hoo haa I did end up watching 1 episode with the Vishkanya and at least as far as I am concerned, she looked more suited for the role of the Vishkanya than Meghna Naidu did.

B) Vishkankya is not a track copied from JA. lol. I think the writer must have done her research before setting out to write about historical characters!

Vishkanyas were used from time immemorial. If I am not wrong, wasn't Chanakya more popular/maybe the first man who'd actually noted the use of Vishkanyas and how they were cultivated/made/trained to poison etc etc. (it's another thing that the Chanakya in this serial is NOTHING like what we've heard of the original Chanakya though😆!!!!)

Nevertheless, it's like saying when one historical shows an assassination attempt, and another one shows an attempt too, that the latter has copied it!

Truth is all kings' lives were at risk - especially the powerful ones and attempts were repeatedly made against ALL their lives!

Yes, the jealousy angle is a copy... no doubt about it... but, not the Vishkanya track!!!

As for the 'copy' thing.. all producers are unfortunately doing it... 😔 there were many elements of JA Ekta copied from the Bollywood movie... when there's a successful formula, people will copy it... Bollywood copies from Hollywood... and the cycle goes on! 😆

I think Gul's even worse than Ekta when it comes to copying from her own stuff - so much so that she renamed second season as IPKKND2 and now for third season, she's brought back Arnav Singh Raizada as Advay Singh Raizada... 😕

I think the best for us would be to just make peace with the fact that Jodha Akbar succeeded. And it's given us tracks and a pairing that's still fondly remembered today.
