Hi everyone.
I have absolutely nothing to say about the flashback, the memory and the truth.
But there were other things that I'd noticed and I thought I would put them down and see what you all think.
For one, when they were dancing together, Nani said to herself "dance as much as you want. I'll let you get married but I'll not let you two live like husband and wife". Terrible stereotypical Hindi show dialogue. But also perhaps a hint to the audience from the makers?
Secondly, once Nani realised who Mehak's parents were, she was genuinely upset. As she told Karuna, "I thought I was underhanded but you are worse than me". And that gave me pause. Much as I dislike Nani and like Karuna, she has a point. What Karuna is doing may be out of love for Shaurya, but it is morally wrong. I do understand that she got to know of this too late in their journey, but still she hasn't considered the long term implications of what she is doing.
On a lighter note, I think Sonal and Mohit are better at wordless conversations than Shaurya and Mehak. She signalled "kuch seekho inse" and he laughed and went "ya right". I think he muttered 'paagal" too. It was very cute and well done. The girl who plays Sonal is a good actor, hope this show takes her to better roles.
Also, I've always said this and will say it again - passionate scenes and shirtless heroes are a dime a dozen in Indian tv shows. They work in tandem with situations, lines, moods and not in spite of them.
