The Fault in their choices

I literally have no favourites in this show , all the characters have two different sides to them , sometimes confusing and sometimes clearly annoying.

Now coming to my post (FINALLY) , personally like I said , I don't dislike or like a person and I'm very Vella so I have thought a lot about these characters.

All of them are obviously facing consequences of their choices , not the voluntarily developed choices , the involuntary ones. The ones that are known as 'feelings'.

The three characters that face consequences of their choices of falling in love are Maya , Saanjh and Arjun. Now let me make it clear I'm not trying to criticize any ship , or any one particular character , it's a general observation of mine.

Why Maya? - Well , all of us are quite aware about the fact that Maya has had a pretty bad childhood. A childhood which obviously has emotionally and mentally scarred her to a great extent (understatement). Now , I feel that what Maya needed was a 'mature' relationship , by mature I don't mean the intimatcy , I mean actually maturity. Arjun as everyone here knows is kind of immature , he was way too ambitious for his own good and not to forget extremely impulsive. Maya needed someone calm enough to understand that she wasn't fine. When we were first introduced to Maya , she was grey , she had a huge scope for recovery, when she fell in love with Arjun she tried to change herself BUT mental illness can never be cured with love. Arjun KNOWS that maya needs help , but he is NOT mature enough to understand that him being there is a short term solution , not a long term. Maya has been going downhill , and things wouldn't have ever gotten so bad if Maya had a life partner who understood that maya suffers a mental illness and needs to be taken to a doctor. Arjun unfortunately wasn't the right choice of maya to fall in love with. She needed someone different , someone mature enough to handle and help cure the tornado maya is.

Coming to Arjun - To be short and clear , arjun needs someone who understands him , understands that he needs space in a relationship , trusts him enough to let him be for a while ,and maya unfortunately was too broken to be with him. He continues to be in a toxic relationship because he feels that his love can cure maya , but it simply can't.

Now , Saanjh - I don't like or dislike her. Saanjh is in love with Arjun , everybody knows that. Even after arjun slapped her , she has maybe feelings for him. Yes , she is close to the whole family and I honestly understand the whole being close to your best friend's family. Coming back , Saanjh fell in love with the wrong guy , everybody knows. He does not love her back. As a normal person , she would have moved on by now. By move on I mean not have any bit of feelings more than friendship for him and people can deny this but it's true that Saanjh still has feelings for Arjun. Now, Saanjh still loves Arjun because she feels that she is good for Arjun. As a third person , Saanjh sees that Maya is torturing Arjun and till a large extent she is , but she does not realise that at the corner of his heart , arjun has been willing to stay to help Maya. So seeing him unhappy with Maya , she feels that maybe if Arjun leaves Maya one day , he would come back to her , and he will be more happy with her. This thought , this misunderstanding , makes her still be in love with Arjun.

In conclusion

Maya needs someone more mature than Arjun , someone like the 'sane' side of Samay , definitely NOT the crying baby side of his.

Arjun needs , well arjun needs someone who can give him space.

Saanjh also needs someone who realises and values her importance in his life.

All of these characters fell in love with the wrong person , and today all of them are facing consequences of that love. So it is the fault in their involuntary choices.

They don't realise that love is not the saving grace for a relationship , respect , trust , and maturity is the one that they need and fail to get.

I've always been saying ArYa is and was incompatible.

I've always felt sad for Saanjh that she fell for arjun. But the times she crosses the line and acts like a total douche, gets me. Initially I felt she's get okay with time, but nah, that didn't happen ever after almost 4 years of Arya.

Maya did need someone mature, like the sane side of Samay, you're right in saying so. He ain't a filthy dog all the time. That gives a scope for Maya to get better.

And yea, Arjun needed someone who gave him space and trusted him.

True, the fault isn't in their stars brutus, it is in their choices.

Samay's character has been destroyed , I really think both the girls need the sane side of samay in some other guys...
