1) Let's give Manish the benefit of believing that he is not a fool.
Surely he must have talked to people in the industry, around him, consulted and deliberated the next move - and then returned.
2) Also, remember the dramatic circumstances at the time of his leaving: the drama as such of going away and the tension of finding a new job, then Jig's accident immediately thereafter.
He was around all that time. He must have seen the near collapse of the show he had been so closely involved with, with its main stars gone and now the lead out for a while. Then Jigs herself in such a miserable condition. How could he not return?
3) But, perhaps, over and above all this: the sheer outcry of his innumerable fans drove him back as it were, even if the above had not been there.
He has always so humbly and so gratefully acknowledged all this adulation, and this return may be seen, in a way, as a recognition and reward to the fans for all their love and support .
Surely, he's part now of a crew on a sinking ship, but his faithfulness and integrity will make him stand out - along with his special acting talents - and not make him go under.
In other words, I think all this will work precisely in his favour for later work - now that he is part of this show again, in the light of all that has happened.
