Ok iam unable to understand who is exactly trp givers, I saw barc n in rural area the choice of shows people watch r not so old fashioned n saas bahu type, the top channels in rural area is zee anmol, Sony pal,rishtay, people don't watch saat nabhana, aasural simar, kukkum in rural areas infact the fresh concept piya albela is in top 10, while in urban areas starplus , colours, n zee r top 3 , n show's like saat nibhan, sasural simar, kukkum bhagya is watched a lot n show like tarak mehta is loved in both areas,

What am I supposed to think , in urban areas people R not open to fresh n different concepts n love saas bahu drama n rural area people have slightly better choice n r open to fresh concept a bit more

So basically ishqbaaz was mainly watched in urban area n many times have placed in top 5 n top 10

So gul was right at saying she understands who are ib main audience , the urban areas people who's choices r saas bahu drama+ some comedy+ some romance r the main audience of ib , people in urban areas r not interested in knowing depth of character n that's y nkk is not shown in proper progression , ib is mainly loved becz of melodrama , that's y she changed the three brothers story into a typical show with sanskari bahu drama n didn't address the main conflict of nkk n anika past properly , the nkk + Anika's past was supposed to be the main plot n she is showing it in full speed during IPL , may be she is spectical ,will the main audience understand the layer's in character of shivika R just change the channel

N we the online viewer have almost no part in TRP, we often prefer fresh concept n different stories

PS: plz share Ur views, I might not be completely correct in my observation😆

EDIT: as tanu said star plus is costly n anoml n rishtay r free so this point also add up to y people watch sp less in rural areas

I really want to know who are the TRP audience yaar because of them even the story line of the show was changed. This was the story of three brothers and their journey towards love and what is it now? CV'S made IB fandom split into two. They give us DBO as spinoff but even then why are not we getting Obros moment, Ani Ru, AniOmRu, all four of them together with Saumya. Why???? Ishqbaaz aur DBO main ab bacha kya hain. Just ask CV's Ki jab kisi bhi ghar main ladki ki shaadi hot hain toh pura parivaar vahan par hota hain par Prinku ki shaadi main toh uski maa Jahanvi, uska bhai Om uski Buamaa the hi nahin. DBO mein Om, Rudra Jahanvi ke saath itna kuchh ho rahan hain aur Shivaay ko kuchh pata hi nahin hain. Tej dealing with Kali Thakur Shivaay being Oberoi don't know about it. Kali Thakur return Shivaay Dadi Anika Prinku and no one else knows about it atleast Shivaay should know about it. Rudra was in party in DBO but when he will be in Ishqbaaz then he will be perfectly fine.

Are not it is same Oberoi Mansion? ya phir bhool bhulaiaya hain...

Are not IB and DBO same???

Even I would like to know how IB's TRPs are calculated. It's so confusing. 😆
IB has massive online audience for sure as its targeted for youth, not sure if Hotstar is considered for calculating TRPs.
I just want to see IB to be on top, that's all I care. :)

Exactly, I don't understand this concept of TRP completely, but it definitely running the show, what I understand until now is melodrama is working for ib's TRP ,be it in romance or in family issues, drama is need for sure, urban viewer top 5 show's have a lot of dramatic tracks in it😆

No hotstar n online audience don't give TRP, that's y sp is airing it's every show at 6 on hotstar , because it's not effecting trp anyways, I too want ib to top, but I hope it doesn't turn out like qubool hai In greed of TRP

I live out of India and was very frustrated yesterday with falling TRP's.

I discuss IB on daily basis with a few people in India.

So yesterday I asked a simple question: How do you like IB as compared to other shows?

Demographic profile: Female, Age : 65, Watches TV shows to pass time, Retired Professional, Some one who has been watching these shows day and night, lives in Delhi.

After a lot of prompting what I can conclude is: Good comedy, Anika and Shivaay perform very well, Used to love Obro moments especially OM, CAN'T RELATE TO THE STORY LINE, WEAK STORY AND VERY POORLY MANAGED TRANSITIONS, JUMPS FROM ONE THING TO THE OTHER WITHOUT CLOSURE, GOES TO EXTREMES AND THEN FAILS TO MANAGE THE ISSUE PROPERLY and WHAT IS THIS ABOUT NKK all the time. Also, 10 PM is late.

Any way since yesterday I was thinking is it the associations that we make with a show that makes it appeal to us and are those people out there not being able to associate with NKK? Another thing which came to my mind is HOW MANY POSITIVE CHARACTERS ARE LEFT IN IB? Dadi and Rudy are hardly there so it's only Shivaay and Anika no other parallel story line, no other family members. We loved the part of the show when all family was together against Mahi and even Tej was part of the plan.

Not saying that ONE PERSON REPRESENTS THE ENTIRE POPULATION BUT IT WAS JUST FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND. Sharing it with you as your insights will help me to understand things better because this is the first show I am watching on a daily basis.

Thanks for the info, n yes I live in India, in metropolitan city, there R kids in our home, n my mom instructed to stop watching ib, becz we as family were unfortunately watching that pair chunaa walaa scene of anika n daksh, n my parents were super Angry n we don't watch ib since then , now I have to watch it online only , my sister's used to love oberiosscenes, yes mostly TV shows r time pass people hates to put brain in understanding the nkk , I don't know what exactly had triggered the trp of ib , but wedding episode was promoted nicely , n I think trp will increase after IPL hugely , becz of holidays

IN BOLD, I very much agree on this. I don't remember closure of even a single plot and we get jumping from one plot to another. Can we hope for a proper closure of all tracks? I know this is hope against hope but PHIR BHI MAIN HOPE KARUNGI...

About how many positive characters in the Show? May I even know the name of characters except Shivika and hell irritating Pinky sometimes Rudra and Dadi...

Remember first promo if I am not wrong that was based on family na then Oberoi family consists of only Pinky and Shivika.

In her interview Gul Mam told about IPKKND3 after IPL. Please don't start new series on the same channel where you are not able to handle two on the same channel..

Love your post and agree.. one point I want to add. I hate how these producers undermine and neglect the online audience.. It is not our fault we don't live in India so we can't contribute to the TRP system!!!! Also.. if TRP aunties are important in giving ratings.. then the online community is equally important with all the hype, excitement and popularity it garners for a show.. like come on, social media plays a significant role especially in today's time.. so @producers, pls don't underestimate the power and wishes of an online community !! Thank you ..
