I think nani is the new villain because she had been following shaurya since the afternoon so she knew where shaurya was that's why she made karuna come there and started begging her so that shaurya can see. Maybe nani wants shaurya's property because all this while karuna had been giving her money an she seemed to be quiet greedy too. Also yesterday was such an important scene but there was not much dialogue between MehRya'Mazza hi nehin aaya. But yeah that "khud ko saza done ke liye kisi ko paas aane nehin deta, sab ko dur dhakelta hoon" this I feel was some hint if later on shaurya happens to have something to do with Mahek's parents accident.
