this question has been answered a few times by now
but I will answer again for you.
the original story was supposed to be suman falling in love with ranveer after marriage
but due to the fans demand and TRP requirement for the show
they were forced to make this change in the story and focus on ranveer suman chemistry
so the story suggested by promo before the show started has been changed a lot since then
and we got goons... ranveer's ex character... all the twists and turns... and ranveer suman chemistry as result of that
