I just feel disgusted with this show. As someone who suffered from abuse as a child, I feel that this show just perpetuates the stereotype of abuse and what abused individuals often feel - that they're damaged goods, incapable of sustaining a healthy relationship because they're broken. That's how I feel about the Maya/Arjun/family dynamic. Instead of building Maya up as a character and having her work through her issues, they're just destroying the character. It's painful to watch. The show's just become too difficult to stomach for me. I hate what it's portraying to the audience and the scenes of domestic abuse are just ugh. Overall, I'm totally disappointed.

True, your concerns are very well valid. This is the reason I strongly dislike Vandana for being so judgemental from the beginning.

But the promos made it very clear, that it going to be about Maya's beyhadh love not how society should treat and handle these patients. May be in phase 3 we may get to see what you wish. I strongly suspect that the ending might be on a preachy note with a moralistic epilogue by Maya acknowledging her culpability and ready to be punished for her wrongdoings.
