This so much!!!!

You have to be careful both ways. Sometimes with too much patience and inaction you lose your opportunity to react when real change could be accomplished. But sometimes you could blow things up out of control and exacerbate a situation needlessly. Since in every situation there are so many variables involved I don't think its easy to have a clear right or wrong.

Exactly Malika. There is no clear wrong or right. This is family.
You have to handle it smartly.
Agreed Siddy, life is too short for grudges. Forgive and forget is good.
Making the aggressor realize what they've done is a win in itself.
They should never repeat their crime.
Good discussion girls.

I must say for the first time in like what five months, I actually felt makers finally resorted to what they promised in their initial episodes- revenge or forgiveness. To be or not to be! And to my surprise, today I didn't fast-forward sisters' conversation; they got my mind racing too.

Naina as of today was doing what her mother asked her to do- control Meghna; however, I have a feeling that she too has a tendency to resort to retributive justice like her sister. In my mind the memory of letting Karan fall in pool is still fresh. What would you call that?

I agree for people like NK retributive justice is futile and the way things are looking, they are kind of building up for Meghna to actually forgive NK because somehow he was always under the influence of Sandhaya, hence she is more entitled for retributive justice and he for the reformative one.

Anyways, if you ask me reformative justice has a catch, offender has to accept his/her mistake which in most cases doesn't happen; I mean how many times do you hear an offender saying 'yes, I am guilty of the crime'? That's why retributive justice is a so-called easy recourse. That said, I personally believe an eye for an eye would make the whole world blind ( I wrote this before too😆). We should learn to forgive and forget. Life is too short to keep grudges.

About the pool thing- I didn't think about that. What you say makes sense. I have two responses to that. One is that these theories and ideas are essentially just that - theories. They cannot be applied completely in evey situation as practical application depends on a number of factors and has to account for human nature too. Its impossible to follow a theory in its entirety always. So if someone predominantly or by and large believes in it, then they can be considered following that theory. Another response is that Naina at that time didn't actively take revenge but didn't save him. Saving him might have signalled that she was okay with what he did maybe? So maybe it was reformative only. After that all she did was make him realize that he was wrong. All this is only off the top of my head for discussion.

About the reformative justice thing, it does not involve the wrongdoer having to confess. Both reformative and retributive are essentially theories of punishment. So they come into picture after guilt has been established through evidence and stuff.

Kunal ups and leaves, what about Dadu, Nirmala, Karan and Khyati...why punish all when it's only and only Nk's fault.
This situation is, I believe a double edged sword. Patience, wit and being strong and ready to show the error of his ways NK is no easy feat.

But,if the sisters manage this without damage to the family, the credit will go to Sharda and her upbringing!!

At the end of the day, the show is called Swabhimaan...as we all know, fine line between Swabhimaan and arrogance.

Completely agree about the sisters managing it without damage part Di. Its going to be tough but I believe together they can do it. And it is only something like that which can make Nk realize how wrong he has been in judging sharda and the sisters.

About the medicines thing, she could have done what you said had she not confronted Sandhya before. After that happened, she lost her chance. Nobody, even Dadaji, would have been able to look at it objectively after that. About waiting and stuff, I believe she does want results but she is waiting for Karan to develop a bit more confidence in himself and their relationship and also for her to get to know Sandhya's game plan a bit better if not entirely. I think its wise and I don't think she will let it go. But yes, as a character, she will grow more assertive with time. That's her journey they have to show.

Nice post as usual sona
I think both sisters are wrong as well as both are right in their opinions 😆 but they should put aside their differences and work together with the help of their hubbies 😆 there today how Karan and kunal were working together as a team is the best example for these two sisters

I totally agree..she should not interfere between husband and wife. Remember there was one scene where naina was sitting alone at night and meghna came. Meghna told naina that she will talk to karan and Naina answered to give her time to sort their differences. This applies the same for Naina. Kunal will feel bad if he comes to know. Recently they had a fight over this trust issues. And meghna promised him to share everything with him. I was so glad that in precap meghna was telling kunal about NK but then Naina interfered 😕

even I agree on this, Naina should let Meghna tell Kunal, and should not interfere in between, if situation gets worse after telling then she can help her di,
