I really enjoyed today's Shivaay-Anika scenes...they were back in form in many ways in scenes that made sense to me after many days...the randomness train they've been on the last week or so eased up a bit today...
Not sure if it was intentional or unintentional but today seemed to be about Shivaay-Anika both making an attempt to communicate, actually I should specifically call out Shivaay on this cuz he continues to surprise this week with just how much he's going out of his way to explain his thought process to her, making allowances only for her, going out of his way to show her what she means to him, shower his own form of affection on her...
Some specifically interesting scenes that I'd call out today:
1) The first scene continuing from yesterday's epi wherein Anika continues to pour her heart out about how she can't fight him and Shivaay continues to soothe her, hugging her protectively, planting kisses in her hair...and in a delayed reaction of sorts, Anika becomes aware of how closely he is holding her...lol...
To me, the endearingly touching bit in this scene was Anika reaching out to touch his hand which was holding her from the waist and in that moment, he moves his hand to brush her hair instead...the way she curls up her fingers for a moment, feeling bereft and then when he moves to plant a deep kiss in her hair again, she's so overwhelmed that she clenches her fingers in the folds of her outfit.
By that point, Shivaay was basically holding her like she was his fav. doll to play with😆, stroking her hair and all and Anika being unable to take it, just bolts out of his lap and goes, "Hum khade reh ke bhi toh baat kar sakte hain"😆...LOL these two cartoons...the way the scene then shifts to them arguing about how she ended up in his lap😆...and Shivaay pointing out that she's feeling embarrassed...Anika's attempt to deflect that even her chappal won't feel embarassed😆
The sheer speed with which emotions shift in their scenes...lol...on some days it makes my head spin...but in this scene it worked...as they then shifted towards poignancy and actually candidly discussed the fact that change doesn't come easy...it takes time...I was glad to see Shivaay clarifying that...and both of them making allowances for each other...she says she can't change, he says he doesn't even want her to change...so in some ways, she too needs to understand that it's hard for him to change who he is...them willingly talking this out and working through their issues TOGETHER...nice to see.
2) The night scene...it started off so poignant with Shivaay remembering all the things that are stressing her out, vowing to never let stress touch her also and BAM he gets kicked by her😆...not once, but TWICE😆...what a MAD pair these two are and what MAD situations the writers enjoy writing for them😆
Anika feeling so PROUD of herself for managing to KICK the Baaghad Billa🤣
And how QUICKLY these two can move into CHALLENGE mode😆...sab rona dhona, fikar vikar ek second mein bhool ke do bacchon ki tarhaan competition shuru kar lete hain😆
Theh panjaa ladaana scene was hilariousss😆...most especially for Anika's hyper enthusiasm that she will so beat him..."Billu ji aaj HAARENGE"😆...lol already cheating off the bat by using two hands...and then thinking that she can distract him by irritating him with her list of nicknames for him...the way she was constantly repeating "Billu ji Billu ji Billu ji"😆...and Shivaay was just watching her in amusement...lol what a sea change from all the times he used to get so irritated hearing this from her...lol
So he lets her gloat for a bit, lets her feel that she's winning for a bit and then makes a kissie face at her🤣...aur itne mein hi Anika ki saari hawaa nikal gayi😆...ROFL her face was worth watching in this bit...actually both her shocked face and Shivaay's cheeky grin😆...and then ofcourse how could Billu pass up the chance to gloat over his victory...his "Loser Loser Loser" was😆😆
The writers finally decided to explore the return of 2 Rs. Cheapdi harkaton se aversion rakhne waali Anika😆...aaj kya kya nahin bola Anike ne Shivaay ko...CHEAPDA...GANDI harkat😆...the GESTURE she made with her hand to describe his kissie face harkat😆...and Shivaay just immensely enjoying this game as usual...Anika just wanted him to admit that he got scared of her and he managed to turn the tables on her over that today as well...way to switch the mood again, Billu ji😆..."Lagaa na darr"😆...Anika's attempt to push him away also had no effect...he just leaned back and took her with him😆...and then challenged her to prove how strong she is by chhudaaoing her haath from his😆...Anika ki sitti bitti gul ho gayi phir se😆
Iske baad I'm sure like good DOST, they both went to their opposite corners of the bed to sleep...that is what the fade out to black was meant to indicate😆
3) The morning kitchen scene...Shivaay was like sweetness ki dukaan in this scene...just the amount of effort he was making to adjust for Anika...making green tea for her as an alternative to the black coffee cuz he knows she doesn't like the taste...the way they were both turning up their noses at each other's eating habits...her refusing to have the "boiled water" green tea but him cajoling her to try it...and the way she was eating those sandwiches😆...Billu ka heart fail hone waala tha in horror...but what a minx Anika is...lol the way she cajoled him to try the bread dipped in green tea cuz she's also learnt to drink black coffee for him...bechara...haha
The simplest yet sweetest thing about this scene was the way they could both laugh over their differences...the way they both acknowledged that they are literally from opposite directions...North and South on some matters...and the irony in the background was both of them hiding an investigation from each other for similar reasons...lol cuz they both felt the other wouldn't understand and would try to stop them from investigating😆
Aaj SENSE tha epi mein...Thank you for this mini-mercy, writing team👏😆...kal ki kal dekhenge (Anika style :P)...and FANTASTIC stuff from NM-SC today...so much range in the scenes and they delivered on all of it👍🏼
