Ranbir says no to Rs. 9 crore fairness cream endorsement

If reports are to be believed, Ranbir Kapoor may have just turned down a deal that would make him richer by a cool Rs 9 crore. The Bollywood star has, reportedly, walked away from a lot of zeroes on principle. The deal was for a fairness cream advert that would have made Ranbir Kapoor its face. But Kapoor was, so the Bollywood portal SpotboyE says, uncomfortable with the idea of endorsing a fairness cream.

The fairness cream debate has been raging for quite some time in Bollywood now. It came to the fore recently when Abhay Deol spoke against the trend of Bollywood stars endorsing such products. Rs 9 crore for a day's might have sounded enticing, yes. But Ranbir has often spoke against the trend himself, so we imagine it must've taken some gumption for the fairness cream company to have approached him.

What kinda proof you wanna see? Video or Audio clip? 😆 Didn't know proofs are needed on I-F, because negative articles & blinds ke time Nobody asks for proofs. 😉

Anyways, you can google it. Several sites too posted about the same and he had refused to endorse fairness cream in 2011 as well.

Really? When did he ever speak out against fairness creams 😲 of the mainstream actors, I only recall Kangana speaking up about the fair skin obsession..

Still, good on Ranbir for turning down the deal regardless of the money offered 👍🏼
