Have always felt that Robbie and Devika have a relation which though ignored at times is perhaps the beauty of this serial in so many ways....Their at times concern, at times sensitivity and at times irritation with each other is so relatablešŸ‘....of course apart from Devika calling him a toy and puppet part....

But overall .....behind all the crap and the cluster....is a powerful mother-son bond.

As actors, Karan and Sheeba perhaps share the best chemistry as the troubled, stubborn, determined yet sensitive towards each other mother-son duo.šŸ‘ Together they create pure star power on screen. Yesterday, all others seemed like props the moment Karan and Sheeba interacted with each other. Their apologies to each other ...perfectly pitched and restrained ...spoke volumes rather than the sheer melodrama shown otherwise.

This is for them .........and for all you lovely mothers out there😊...thanks for making our lives special.šŸ¤—

Taking off from arguably one of the best songs to be churned out of Indian filmsšŸ‘.....Meri Maa.....

************************************************************ ****

Robbie to his friend, benefactor, protector, mentor, at times master, but most of the times just a mom........Devika

Mein kabhi batlata nahi....
Par akelepan se darta hoon mein Mom

Yun to mein dikhlata nahi...
Teri parwah karta hoon mein Mom
Tujhe sab hai pata, Hai na Mom
Tujhe sab hai pataaaa.......meri Mom

Bheed mein yun na chodo mujhe...
Khud ko hi bhool jo mein jaau Mom
Paise ka zarya samjhona mujhe
Tumko bhi dhoond panaa paau Mom

Kya itna bura hoon mein Mom
kya itna bura ......Meri Mom

Jab bhi kabhi....Duniya mujhe.....Itne taane deti hain Mom....
Meri nazar dhoondhe tujhe....Sochun yahi ...aake tu thamegi Mom....

Unse mein yeh kehta nahi....
Per mein toot jaata hoon mein Mom
Chehre pe aane deta nahi....
Dil hi dil mein hi rota hoon mein Mom
Tujhe sab hai pata.....haina Mom

Tujhe sab hai pata.....Meri Mom

Yun to mein dikhlata nahi...
Teri parwah karta hoon mein Mom
Tujhe sab hai pata, Haina Mom
Tujhe sab hai pataaaa.......meri Mom

JW first and foremost i want to reach out and hug you šŸ¤—šŸ¤— you are so right, can not agree more, for the most unforgettable dialogues have happened btw these two actors... the way devika handled the abortion news to robbie was brillent, she stepped in at the right moment and said no one will laugh at us noone for she will simply not allow it, at that moment even i forgot that she was against robbie and kas, and could only marvel at her brilliant maternal instinct to protect her kid... and then when she sat quietly crying for robbie's total annihilation after kasturi and ronuak's wedding, for she showed us that the character can be hurt and broken, by the only way a mother can, and that is through your children. truly these two character's relationship is beautifully penned and brought to life by two very dynamic actors who have the best chemisty on screen, out of all the mother and son relationships i have seen on tv...and will be remember long after this show is finished...i cant wait for robbie and devika's ultimate show down..

beautiful lyrics what movie is this song from JW?

bravo and thanks from a mothers heart..JW,

loads of luv

Yooo hoooo 😳

I really hoped you read this....Song's from Taare Zameen Par...a good watch if you havent....brilliant actually šŸ‘ ....and the actual song is a masterpiece....

Robzi....thanks for responding šŸ¤—....I would really want to see that day when Robbie realises Devika's deeds...though I don't know whether it will be a showdown or an absolute numbing experience and expression....But I think they will ultimately reconcile....coz at the end of the day you cant really walk off the first relation you make on this earth....and it is gonna be tough for Robbie to do that, irrespective of what Devika did.

And while we are at it....I feel for a change, the BT directors should let Sheeba and Karan have full liberty to essay that scene...coz then they will bring it a respect they got to the one yesterday...Sheeba is miles better that the over the top melodrama that Nandini, Alka and Kaushalya do....trouble, defeat and steely determination shown only through the voice....And just how many times we have seen Karan enact some uncalled for teary, weepy scenes in front of Kasturi....though to give him credit, he does bring a lot of gravitas to it...but then there was yesterday ...troubled, hurt, even anger and he showed all that without shedding tons of tears and realms of lines..very restrained.. together they really make it completely watchable....I did'nt even bother about what the other three in the room were doing...though the fellow who enacts Nikhil was good.

@JW & Robina: Totally agree with what u both have written. I have a feeling that when the truth does comes out regarding what kasturi has been upto, i think robbie will ultimately agree with devika;s assessment of kasturi, that she is not worthy of him.

@ JW a biggggggggg hug for u from me... that is soooo beautiful.. agree with what u say 100%... devika and robbie are the only two who have made this show worthwhile... I hope robbie realizes that his mother is trying to save him from his destruction at the hands of the woman he thinks is a saint šŸ˜•

Dear all, 😊
Just wanted to post a hearfelt thanks to all those who read and especially to those who responded. Heartfelt coz a parent child relation is mostly ignored or altenatively made fun of or shown in a negative light on TV serials.....so thanks again 😊

Specifically .......

Shwetha
Now the truth is out, albiet half truth and Robbie is still pining for Kasturi.... ...well what can one say....

Fariiiii
A big šŸ¤— to you too....

Fari, *Princess*15 and Sindhoo
Yes Sheeba and Karan really rock šŸ‘šŸ‘and at least for me they are the only worthwhile actors in this serial...though yesterday the guy who enacts Puru was splendid when Robbie recovers.... šŸ‘

I would still maintain that Devika may have been a bad parent insofar as denying Robbie his simple pleasures and love....but she still loved her child...Its just that she too is human and thought good things for him in a different way and was perhaps not able to convey it at the right times...And on a separate point, don't we have parents like Devika who oppose a love affair, albiet illogically...if not, then a significant part of the Indian conservative population would have had love marriages ....not arrangedšŸ˜†

It amuses me to read some of the views on Devika on this forumšŸ˜†...and it amuses me even more when these views are written by people who are either not or have a long way to go to become a parent šŸ˜† šŸ˜† šŸ˜†. Try raising 5 kids in a not so good financial position in India (which does not have grass root level well entrenched social security benefits) and then talk about reading stories and playing endlessly with them every day...Life doesnt always allow you to be Mother India right šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

Yesterday was an excellent example of how the two parents Puru and Devika reacted when Robbie stirs back to consciousness. For me it was an impactful emotional scene. Or lets take the day before when they remind each other in their own styles that "Robbie is not dead" and are coming with this trauma in their own ways....what was so odd in what Devika said yesterday when she tells Puru about the successful deal, she said that right in the end...its just that she was reassuring Puru that all will be normal...wasnt she delighted to hear about Robbie...I thought she was 😊 ...Dont we have parents who are not overtly emotional in their gestures, especially fathers...but they still love us right....Devika is like one of them...simple. Why expect everyone to be hysterically emoting like Nandini all the time šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

@Sindhoo😳

Never mind if you are late...its always always special when you write back😊

jw the point about raising 5 kids in a hard middle class to below average in India or Pakistan is soooo stressful for the parents, i can only marvel at some of cousins who have tried to, for its beyound stressful, and if you ask them to chooose whats more important being home to hug your kids before they sleep or making money to put on the table they'd choose making money 5 times over being home... so thanks for brining that point up you left me speechless. šŸ‘ today my husband sometimes doesnt make it home to kiss his kids goodnite and yes it hurts him but in the end he has to be out there to earn first and foremost for them.. and for those who think how much money is enough, its never enough for pure and simple there is always something more a parent will want to earn for their kids future and their safety nets. and devika is a sole provider both financial and emotional. and i agree i do think its funny when people who arent parents comment on devika's attitude for its really very hard to juggle being both... especially in today's fast paced society, everything is at our finger tips and knowledge of the haves and have nots are so prevelant in todays society... you just as a parent dont want to say could i have done more to provide them with something else that could make them reach their potential....

@jw i have tried endlessly to pm you but your box is full please to erase some pms so i can pm you again missed you terribly... luv robzs

Thanks .....read your comment on ED and have to say don't lose hope on Devika, .....you dont need to be over emotive to show joy, the entire western world films are underplayed....it was a normal convesation Puru told her about recovery, she was happy to hear it and then she in a passing remark updated him on the business....why spit on her šŸ˜†

I found it overwhelming that for all the crap to date, the first person Puru called yesterday was Devika....coz only a parent knows what they have been through for the child and secondly ...somewhere Puru does know that Devika does care for Robbie 😳
