A beautiful , bittersweet episode filled with hidden meanings and declarations.
1. I am Annika, just Annika.
Shivaay was introducing her as his wife, Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi. His strength, his biggest support system. And she insists to be just Annika. He lets go of her hand. Was he slighted? I doubt it.
"Meet Annika, my wife.." and she smiles.
Few ways to see this. He may think she is still cautious about taking her place, changing her identity to his name. She is not rejecting his name or his rights or disrespect as her husband, but rather reminding him, that she doesn't care about her lack of Naam. Whether or not she got her last name as her husband's, inside she is still just Annika. And she is not ashamed of it, whoever says what.
I suspect Pinky is going to get a shock when Annika is asked about her parents name next week. Because Annika will defiantly declare that she doesn't know and it didn't bother her. She is what she is, because she made it on her own.
Or, that just as he thought it out of character for him to say all those filmy things to her, she too will not have herself introduced as Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi, but just Annika. Until she gets her words, from him.
2. Companionship
Shivaay sees her struggling to feed herself, and not asking him for help. So grabs the plate and feeds her. Stubborn woman , can't you just ask for help? Until your wound heals, I will feed you.😳!
He finds her emotional, and wonders if it is too spicy. Sharing the same spoon, he finds the food fine. While she finds it sweet, because no one has cared or fussed over her to eat like this. When she was ill before, she would just sleep in an empty stomach.
"This is why I said.. Whether you need support or not, everyone needs a companion. "
"Whenever, you are unwell, I will feed you , like this..."
(He just told her he will be her companion, the one she can lean on.. Excuse me while I go cry a bucket of tears...)
"You want me to fall ill again, don't you?"
"This is your problem !! I say one thing, you hear something else, and interpret it as something completely different ! The obvious meaning you won't take."
(There he said it. I will be your companion. I will take care of you. No debate about it.)
"Promise me you won't do stunts like this again."
"I'll promise if you promise not to as well.."
"No , I will do what I need to. Especially if it comes to you. Because you're my..."
"Responsibility...?" a shared smile...
"Well, then you are my responsibility too."
"How come?"
"Just like I am your responsibility?"
(Whatever it is you are feeling Shivaay, for me? I feel it for you too. Know that.)
She insists to feed him too, and she tries. He bends down to grab the mouthful when she couldn't lift any higher.
"Is it good?"
"Wow, I cooked this so well..!" he jokes and she rolls her eyes...😆😆😆
And makes her work for her spoonful back by evading her mouth.
3. Comfort level at maximum
Waise, they are sleeping much closer to each other today, as though they spent the night chatting and fell asleep. 😳... *Squeal !* She notices the sun in his face, and shields it with her hands. Wakes up with a smile. She comes from her bath and tries to play with him. Tickles his face with her wet hair, and he wakes up in a flustered rush.
Nope, no water games in the morning...😆...
She grumbles about his grouchiness, always having some complaint against her. You are bitter like your favourite black coffee.
"Really? You thought I was talking sweet things last night didn't you?"
"ha...Who understands what goes on in your head?"
"Let me make you understand..." and he moves towards her and she scoots off the bed so fast like rabbit.. That smile on his face...
He watches her comb her hair and asks her where she is off to so early in the morning. She refuses to say, so he refuses to say about his day too. She smiles towards him, and he readily gives in, to tell her what he is up to today...(I tell you, this is so domesticatedly adorable, I could scream!)
But she already knows his schedule for the day. And he sweetly asks her to tell. Awww... but she doesn't. Because she's going after Mahi. And he won't let her. ''
4. Pinky's first plot against Annika.
Minutes after she left, Shivaay is asking for her. And he can't find his things anymore. And he struggles over the decision to call her and ask for his file. He puts his ego aside and calls..😆.. But she doesn't pick up.. Goodness.. what tadi games they are playing.
Scheming Pinky arranges for a pooja to ward off evil eyes, with all the bad luck Shivaay has been having. Guruji asks for Annika's details. Shivaay asks to wait til Annika returns. Pinky insists, but Shivaay has no details to give.
It looked like he was angry that he didn't know anything, not that she didn't have the details herself. He was put on the spot because he did not know to date, what her surname was. He was getting aggressive, and not in an angry way, but a protective way.
Pinky rubs it in, that he takes details of Naam, Khoon and Khandaan very seriously. And how he should know all this details of his wife, for the family, for his future children. Shivaay starts to get angrier by the minute.
So she asks Sahil, of his parents names and details. Shivaay stops it, and sends Sahil off.
He marches off angrily, not bothering to be polite anymore.
Pinky pushes it, Tell us her surname and then go.
Pinky just made a fatal error. She wants to fire up the NKK prejudice in Shivaay, but she'll end up just raising his protectiveness over her even more now.
Watching Shivaay today, I'm pretty sure he will be very fiery in protecting her from his mother's intentions. But quietly he will have plenty of questions. And the way they speak in riddles around each other, I worry it will build up into a tension.
Surely he can be comfortable enough to ask about her childhood now? She is already telling him things about her childhood. I hope he won't ask Sahil, because the little boy will fear telling the truth, because Annika is waiting for it to break them apart.
Pinky is being cunning, she is attacking Shivaay, not Annika. If she goes after Annika, Shivaay will stand in her way. She's poisoning his thoughts so he has doubts about Annika.
But you guys know what? He may have questions about her. But I doubt he will have issues about her lack of NKK. Not after today. No way, Jose.
5. Is Mahi , Shivaay's twin?
Was the idea just planted in Annika's mind, as she looks for him.
6. Pinky's pugnacious plot.
Today Pinky boils at every spying spot of hers. Shivaay has eyes only for his wife now, nevermind that he is looking so happy. She vows to break them apart, and take her son back from Annika. Whatever she does, she will only succeed in driving her son further away. He doesn't look like he will turn away from Annika ever.
7. Shakti
Shakti be looking shady suddenly, angrily ordering someone to track Kamini down. Uh oh. Wonder where that is going. Not good for Pinky for sure.
