Few Days Later
After that day Dev didn't bother Geet for going out, so Geet thought maybe Dev understood her situation, this thought gave her happiness..., Dev changed behaviour fadded Maan's words from her mind rather she felt obliged towards Dev for understanding her..
Sitting in her room, Geet looked at the dress given by Dev, it was a black knee length sleveless dress , she stood by mirror , keeping the dress on her, she made a face..
Geet(st)- will it look good on me??, (she was confused but then other thought crossed her mind ), but how will it wear it babaji aaj tak aisi dress nahi pehni..(she pulled the dress more from down), thodi aur lambi hoti toh thik tha aur seleves hote toh thik tha...(she thought and then shrugged these thoughts), jhalli Geet..Dev ko ye aise hi pasand hai toh you have to wear it like this only (she made herself agree and then smiled thinking), he will be surprised after seeing me in this dress, you thought about me and didn't force me too toh i can atleast do this much for you Dev...it will be a small pre birthday gift from my side on your farewell day..
It was Dev last year in college so Juniors were planning for a farewell party for their seniors just before their exams and Dev's birthday too was falling inbetween all this , so Geet thought to give him a surprise as he wanted to take her out and introduce her to his friends , so now she will surprise him with her attire on farewell night, she was sure he will get happy..
As she thought about Farewell party another problem crossed her mind, she remembered how few students suggested about a couple dance, she was scared what if Dev too ask her for dance then how will she say yes because she have no knowleadge of dance, Dev will surely get embarrased between his friends because of me..
Geet- no no babaji..how can i let him down..i have to do something..
Taking her mobile phone she reached on top floor of KM were Maan practice his tai chi, it was evening time so she was sure no one will come here to disturb her, she played a song on her phone and tried to remember how couples dance, she tried but no use, soon she got bored and thumped on floor..
Geet(st)- nothing is working..irritated by her failed attempts she switched off the music and tried to think something else...not getting anything she tuned into a radio station to relax herself and closed her eyes...but soon she got disturbed when she felt someone's gaze on her, scared she immediatedly opened her eyes only to find Maan infront of her, getting up she gave him a nervous smile..
Maan- may i know what brought you here??
Geet- mm..mm..y..aise hi..
Maan(with narrowed eyes)- aise hi??
Geet- hmm by the way its not your time for gym then what are you doing here??
Maan- do i have to ask your permission if i wished to practice at this time??
Geet- no.., she looked here and there to avoid him while Maan waited for her to spil the beans..
Maan- so there's no reason for your presence here at this time..
Geet(st)- should i tell him??( she questioned herself), will he help me?? offcourse he can he knows how to dance he and di danced on their engagement day..
Maan- Geeet!, (he shouted a bit to bring her back and it worked as starled she looked at him ), if you are done with your brain and heart talk then now speak!
Geet- woh..actually i want to learn a couple dance..., nervousily she said..
Maan- what but why??
Geet- for Dev.., but she was cut in between by him..
Maan- Geet not again..i told you..but this time Geet cut him
Geet- i know but i myself want to learn for him, he didn't even ask me..it's my wish.., hearing it Maan calmed his anger..
Maan- so you need a dance teacher??
Geet- no, an immediate answer came from her
Maan- then who will teach you??
Geet- you..
Maan- what!, you have lost it..i'am a business man not a dance trainer!
Geet- i know but you danced nicely that day..
Maan- which day??, now Geet was scared as she didn't want to utter about his engagement day, what if his mood again gets spoil.., not getting any answer Maan called her but she simply doughed it..
Geet- bacpan mei...so teach me please..
Maan- but..
Geet- please please please..she pleaded and Maan had to ultimately give into it..
She looked at him with expectations and he didn't have the heart to deny her, he forwarded his hand towards her , smiling at him she gave her hand in his hand, as her hand held his , he softly gribbed her hand in his...otherside the RJ annouced the other song decidated by someone to someone...
Placing his other hand on her waist he softly pulled her towards him,surprising Geet, then taking her other hand he placed it on his shoulder, their proximity along with the lyrics of the song changed the scenario altogether, Geet suddendly felt her heart beats getting quicker, she felt something strange in his arms, looking at him she found him directly looking at her...
Maan- when i take a step forward, you step back and vice-versa okay.., he asked her, his tone was so soft that Geet felt her heart melting..she was forced to inhale sharply and replied with a nod , at which he smiled...

Maan took a step forward while she took a step back , then he asked her the do the same, they repeated the same steps for few times , Maan helped her in each step, Geet learned it quickly and smiled at him , he too reciprocated towards her success and smiled..

The lyrics of the song depicted his heart's unsaid emotions , though not with his words but his actions did conveyed everything , the way he pulled her back in his arms or how protectively yet softly he held her and when she smiled at him , he too smiled as if some unknown happiness captured his heart after seeing her smile..., his every gesture thanked her for coming in his life.., with the lyrics he got the flashes of them, how she entered his life and how she changed him, made him smile with her actions, remembering all that too brought joy to him...

He was completly lost in moment with Geet close to him, while for Geet things changed for excitement to something unknown to her, initially she felt happy to learn the steps quickly but when he pulled her back in his arms she felt a sudden change altogether, his proximity quicken her heartbeats, the way he held her she felt something different in his arms,his touch gave her gossebumps but what captivated her heart was the way in which he looked at her, there was something unknown in them today, she felt as if they were talking to her, conveying her something, though she didn't understand but still was not able to avert her gaze from him..., she felt a strange pull towards them.., she was twirled here and there but she didn't care about that as she knew Maan was there..he is there to hold her, save her, she was safe in his arms, there was no fear of falling..., her mind didn't registrated but her heart unknown to her liked it..

Song came to an end..but both were still in their own world, gush of a wind blew her traces of hair, his palm automatically came up to push them back, tucking them back he looked at her but the moment ended as RJ's loud voice disturbed them, Maan came back to his senses and realised what stupidity he was doing, embarrassed by his doings he immediatedly turned back and left, leaving behind a confuse Geet to wonder and Dev who witnessed it all to burn in anger..., angered by the turn of events he left from there , while Geet who was still trying to register everything wondered..

After Dinner
Geet was in kitchen preparing Maan's coffee but was lost in trance , her heartbeats were still not in control of her, she was getting flashes of her closeness with Maan, in order to shut the flashes she closed her eyes but then Maan's image came infront of her, scared by that she opened her eyes...
Geet(st)- Geet what's wrong with you..its was just a dance...don't overeact!, she made herself understand...
In Other Corner of KM
Dadima and Maya were discussing about Dev's upcoming bithday..
Dadima- Dev ke birthday se yaad aaya Geet ka bhi toh birthday tha last month, i forget about it totally..
Maya- ji maa..but why didn't Geet tell us..., that's when they saw Geet passing from there Maya called her..
Geet- ji..
Maya- Geet your birthday passed , why didn't you tell us about it..in rest of the work we forget about it completely!
Geet- ji..woh.., Geet hesistated
Dadima- Geet you consider us as your family na..atleast once you should have reminded me or anyone.., you know how guilty i'am feeling now.., she complained..
Geet(feeling bad)- woh.., but Nakul who was passing from there heard their talk and came there to save Geet..
Nakul- mam don't feel bad Maan sir has already gave her birthday treat!, both Maya and Dadima were shocked to hear it, then Nakul told them everything in detail..
Maya- oh..how thoughtful of Maan.., she praised him
Dadima- hmm.., she was thinking something...
Maya- but Geet don't ever hesistate from us okay, remember we are your family!
Geet(smiled a bit)- ji..
But the smile was wiped off from Dev's face as he heard all that..
Dev(st)- she can go out with bro but not with me!, he was agitated with this thought, as Geet left from there he followed her from behind, finding her alone he grabbed her arm and pulled her...
Geet shocked by sudden strong pull cried in pain- ahh..
Dev- stop your drama Geet!, he spatted angrily..
Geet- what i did??
Dev- oh..how innocent can you act Geet..you are such a..aah..by the way why are you doing all this.. playing with me and bro!
Geet- what?? what have i done exactly that you are so angry!, she was clueless about his accusations
Dev- if bro asks you to come along with him , you happily accompany him but when i ask you you give me thousands of reasons to deny me, why??
Geet- i'am not understanding what you are..., but Dev cut her angrily
Dev- shut up Geet.., tell me what's cooking up between you and bro?, he directly questionsed her
Geet- Dev how can you.., she was shocked to hear that Dev doubted her character , never even in her nightmare she thought about it..
Dev- why are you silent now..should i call bro to depend you..bolo.., he took a step forward but a tight slap stopped his advances.., Dev along with Geet were shocked to see Dadima there..
Dadima- have you lost your mind Dev, do you even realise what nonsense you are speaking..you are doubting Geet..
Dev- then what should i do Dadima..i'am not blind like you all..i can very well see how much time she spends with bro..what for..
Dadima- Dev shut up..it's me who asked Geet to be with Maan.., but Dev in anger didn't even allow her to complete her sentence
Dev- oh then it must me bro..who is using her for his benefit after all he was alone for so long..
Dadima- Dev enough!, (Dadima roared making him shut ) , Geet go to your room right now, Maya take her away!, she ordered Maya who herself was shocked to hear Dev's accusations but after hearing Dadima, she took Geet in her room..
Geet's room
Geet cried , she was deeply hurt..
Maya consoled her..
Maya- Geet bas..don't cry...
Geet- i'am not wrong..i didn't do anything wrong not even Maan..then why Dev is.., her voice choked in between..
Maya- Geet sshhh..don't cry..i know none of you are wrong ... its maa ji she is wrong in all this..she should never ask you to be with maan..but you should understand Dev too..you too know him since childhood he loves attention and whenever it shifts to someone else he hates it, same happened here Geet...,( Maya being a doting mother depended Dev's deed , she knew what Dev did with Geet was wrong but being his mother she defended him with her logics)
Geet- but..
Maya- i know what you must be feeling but understand him Geet..in future you are going to be his wife..abhi se if you both will fight like this and then in future how will your relation substain, it's a wife duty to substain a relation Geet..understand him..instead of crying get up and show him that he matters to you most than anyone else in this world..then everything itself will get better between you...
Maya words pushed Geet in inner turmoil, one side her character was being questioned and other side she was being asked to understand Dev, she knew that Dev loves attention but..she was not sure as the values of being perfect wife with which was feeded since childhood were stopping her to voice out her inner feelings...,she dropped down to her bed , grabbing her pillow she hided her face in it...
Maya thought she needed time but was sure she will understand it too as it's every Girl's duty to compromise somewhere in a relation...whether you belong from upper , middle or lower class , whether you have a family full of illiterates or full of intelluctuals, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day it's always a girl who compromise somewhere...
