i watch clips of the show here and there but what is wrong with karan? why does he not ket anyone touch him or be touched and why does he carry that umbrella around??

He has skin allergies,so to protect himself he applies speacial cream and always carries a umbrella with him & since the disease is contiguous and can spread so he doesn't let anyone touch him

I think it would be better if you watched the episodes. As it is we are finding some very new things.
Now it seems that his allergies aren't real as in it isn't caused naturally but Sandhya has suppressed and mentally abused Karan.
